Zachary David Alexander Efron was born on October 18, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California to David Efron and Starla Baskett. He is a Jewish American television actor.
Efron is best known for portraying Cameron Bale on the cancelled WB series Summerland. Originally introduced as a guest star, Efron became a regular cast member on the show in the second season. He also appeared in guest roles on the shows CSI: Miami, The Guardian, ER, and Firefly. He also starred in the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical" alongside actresses Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
