The Colorado River is the name of a 894-mile long river in Texas in the United States of America. It flows through Austin and empties into the Gulf of Mexico at Matagorda Bay.
This river, allegedly misnamed because of a mapping error by early Spanish explorers, flows southeastward from the northwestern portion of Texas near the base of the Texas Panhandle toward the Gulf of Mexico.
