Frank Henry Cooney (December 31, 1872, Norwood, Ontario – December 15, 1935) was the ninth Governor of Montana from 1933-35.
Cooney, a businessman, was public administrator for Silver Bow County, Montana from 1898-1900. He was elected lieutenant governor in 1932. In 1933, he replaced Governor John Edward Erickson, who left office to become a United States Senator.
Cooney died in office in 1935 of heart failure. He is credited for reforming the state liquor laws and establishing a water conservation program.
