Talk:Smiley face murder theory

Thanks for participating at the RFC for this article in the past. Unfortunately, despite what was a clear consensus, the people trying to slant the article to the fringe view simply shopped around until they got enough other people to show up, and they are very aggressive about wanting the POV there. One of the arguments there is the typical "people used to think the sun revolved around the earth, and by your arguments we wouldn't have been allowed to say otherwise" silliness. There are also strong indications of at least one sockpuppet at work. If you cared about your input there it might help to come back and reiterate it. DreamGuy (talk) 00:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Hate to bug you again, but some extremely aggressive editors on this article are claiming that I was the only person who opposed their changes and that consensus is against me and that I am a liar and all sorts of bizarre claims. Thanks for uploading File:January 1984 Gazette Cover.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC). I strongly suggest you take a look at WP:ETIQUETTE, and refrain from such foul language in your edit summaries. "Dammit, who put this shit back in?" is not appropriate in the least, and I'm sure you can convey your point without cursing, which can be viewed by whoever edited the page. Re: "Given the amount of trouble that this article and its subject have caused, we're probably better off with deletion." I suggest you strike this out or remove it. It appears that Xiutwel should be considered the master account. His WP:AE restrictions are linked from Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive26. In my opinion, Xiutwel-0002 should be indef blocked for evasion, and told to ask for unblock as Xiutwel. I am not sure whether unblock would be granted; I can see arguments on both sides. Proposed deletion of 10 Agorot controversy

The article 10 Agorot controversy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No source for Arafat's statements or any source that reflects this as a controversy. Regardless, one individual's statements hardly comprise a "controversy."

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
