Lady of Vinča is a Late Mesolithic anthropomorphic figurine (Cult image) made of terracotta regarded as symbol of the Vinča culture, which flourished in Prehistoric Serbia in 5500 BC. It was excavated at 4,8 metres deep at Belo Brdo, Vinča, Serbia in 1929.
It portrays a godess wearing an animal mask, painted in alternating red and black bands and wearing a pentagonal stylized mask with black eyes, her right arm is held diagonally in front of her, her left hand is touching her left breast, her shoulders are broad and there are four incisions on her upper arm; symbolizing status. It's height is 13,2 centimetres.
