Puddle of Mudd is a grunge rock band. The original incarnation of this band formed in the mid-1990s in Kansas City, Missouri. After this incarnation split up, a new version was formed in Los Angeles by vocalist Wes Scantlin.

Before the current band formed, Paul Phillips named this band Puddle Of Mudd.
