Benjamin de Rothschild is the owner and CEO of LCF Rothschild Group, a private bank. He was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in France the 30th July 1963, the son of Baron Edmond Adolphe de Rothschild, a banker, and Nadine Lhopitalier (1932-), an actress. He married Ariane de Rothschild (née Langner) on 23 January 1999 and they have had four children. He is a descendant of the Paris’ Rothschild family.

Benjamin de Rothschild studied at Swiss Institut Florimont and holds a BA in Business Management from Pepperdine University.
Careers
In 1989, Benjamin de Rothschild created his own firm, the Compagnie de Trésorerie Benjamin de Rothschild (now Compagnie Benjamin de Rothschild SA), a company specialising in the management of financial risk. He also worked in the Rothschild Group as a banker.
After the death of his father in 1997, he became chairman of the Benjamin & Edmond de Rothschild group, today named LCF Rothschild Group. The LCF is present in many financial sectors, private banking, asset management and advisory services business. Benjamin de Rothschild is CEO of the LCF Rothschild group, Chairman of the board of Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, CEO of the CTBR, Compagnie Benjamin de Rothschild SA, and CEO of the private bank Banque privée Edmond de Rothschild SA Genève.
In 2008, Baron Benjamin is France’s 19th-richest citizen with a net worth of 2.9 billion euros ($3.9 billion), according to Challenges magazine . He also appears to be the wealthiest living Rothschild.
Sailing
Benjamin de Rothschild is a sailing enthusiast, following a family tradition. In 2001, he founded the Gitana Team, a sports team fully dedicated to sailing. World-renowned skippers join the team : Loïck Peyron or Lionel Lemonchois.
