File copyright problem with File:Belfast City Hall 2010.JPG
Thank you for uploading File:Belfast City Hall 2010.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock 02:54, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
C.S. Lewis
Hey, There are pages and pages of information on "was Lewis English or Irish" on the talk page. The current (or recent anyway) article represents a compromise between those two views. You might want to read that information. LloydSommerer (talk) 11:54, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Dialling codes
For future reference, I shall point out that BT's area code lookup facility isn't a reliable source. People are regularly finding errors on it, and BT have gone through a few phases of fixing some of these errors and adding new errors. See User talk:Eurosong/02x for the lowdown.
Generally, if you want to look up a dialling code, please use Ofcom's facility. Ofcom is the authoritative source on the UK's phone numbering system. -- Smjg (talk) 12:49, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Also note the dialing area code for all NI numbers is now just 028. When 028 was brought in, all Northern Ireland telephone numbers actually got extended by 2 digits so are now 8 digit numbers. There are no local area codes in NI anymore. Canterbury Tail talk 13:31, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

City of Derry Airport
Just wondering why you undid my revision without giving a reason - my edit was factual and was not intended to be POV in any way. Former and alternative names of places are commonly found in the first line of an article, so I am baffled that you took issue with this revision. Jamezcd (talk) 19:56, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- I found this an unnecessary repetition to the info box. Thanks to moving home recently and depending on dongle based broadband my edit was quick, and seemed possibly POV due to your contributions appearing to largely be associated to the Troubles. Furthermore would you happen to know who the first time editor was who seemed to side with you, 20 mins before you commented on my talk page? May I advise the reading of Misplaced Pages:Sock puppetry --NorthernCounties (talk) 21:31, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
GoCar
Hey! I don't think I explained the situation very well so here's a brief history. Someone created an article a while back about GoCar which is a ridesharing program in Ireland. About a month ago (I think), someone came to that article and changed it completely to refer to a company called GoCar which is in several different countries which rents these small yellow go cart-ish things that are guided by a GPS system that triggers directions and sightseeing facts. I've reverted your revert so that now there is a disambiguous page that points towards GoCar of Ireland and GoCar Tours which have nothing to do with each other besides the fact that they share the same name. Any objections to that solution? OlYeller 15:02, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Ireland
I disagree, there is currently a NPOV issue. But, it's not worth edit-warring over, so that was my lone revert. PS: Could ya rephrase the word 'bigot'? GoodDay (talk) 18:19, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- the
{{POV}}
tag clearly says do not remove until the dispute is resolved. Codf1977 (talk) 18:22, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- I don't particularly have a position in this debate, but I did see your edit summary here float past on my watchlist. Referring to other editors as "the usual bigots" is wholly inappropriate. You may wish to refer to the policies on civility and personal attacks. That doesn't by any means indicate you shouldn't discuss issues when you disagree, but please do so in a collegial manner, not by belittling and insulting other editors. Seraphimblade 18:25, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
I believe you'll find my input on the Ireland talk page a little more informative, I find in wholly inappropriate with one editors attack on any Ireland related article... and for one or two too back this and add a POV box at the top of a high quality article. Which is a direct insult to any editor that helped to achieve this status. Bigotry is a topic that is at the heart of many Northern Irish/Irish issues... and in many cases both sides are guilty. But I still find that this is an acceptable term in these instances. Going with the flow of things on the Irish article, maybe all editors of the Irish article that have a neutrality issue and enforce the no British Isles terminology should begin making POV issues on any and every article that mentions British Isles? No that would be silly and making a pointless point. Exactly what is happening on the Ireland article.--NorthernCounties (talk) 18:34, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- We just don't want anybody thinking we wear pointed hats & like to burn crosses. GoodDay (talk) 16:24, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed... In hindsight, I could have been more tactful with the use of vocabulary! No hard feelings.--NorthernCounties (talk) 16:58, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:U2Tower.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:U2Tower.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Misplaced Pages uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Misplaced Pages.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
City of Derry Airport
Hi NorthernCounties, Can we talk about my edit. I just made a few edits that make the wiki page a little more pc. I removed the Irish translation because it was unnecessary. I understand that an Irish translation should be used for significant places but not an airport. And if you are to include an Irish translation then surely an ulster scots translation should also be included? I also changed the location as it is not in the city like Belfast City Airport but it is outside. —Preceding unsigned commen--NorthernCounties (talk) 14:36, 15 September 2010 (UTC)t added by Factocop (talk • contribs) 17:16, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- Next time you claim "high level of IP vandalism" for an article that hasn't had an unregistered edit for almost a month, I block you for disruption. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:23, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- Calm down Sarek, but I appreciate the block of Factocop, Cheers,--NorthernCounties (talk) 18:55, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi NorthernCounties, Can we discuss the City of Derry Airport? I tried to discuss with O Fenian but he keeps deleting my posts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Factocop (talk • contribs) 09:41, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Sorry if I came across a tad angry, but O Fenian started an argument with out actually being able to back up his accusations or actions hence why I contacted him. It appears however that you are part of the same clique so I will leave it be.Factocop (talk) 14:19, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
I wouldn't describe us as being members of a clique... you have made edits to an article which are against it's long standing tradition, and also lied about what the edit was. i.e Saying you changed its location, when you'd actually deleted the city served which is Derry. Just because you don't like the name, doesn't mean you can take action into your own hands and go on a one man/woman mission to see its removal through edit warring. When the page is unblocked it will be reverted. If you further continued your edit warring campaign, you shall only be blocked for ever greater periods of time, without ever achieving a lasting change/personal imprint.
- I would hope that by the time it is unblocked sensible conversation will have taken place at the relevant talk page, and a consensus will be reached that is consistent across comparable articles and can be seen to make sense by all reasonable editors, even if it does not meet their preference, per the blocking admin. Kevin McE (talk) 14:57, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
The admin did suggest that a consensus must be reached on the discussion board before any future edits so by my understand you could be blocked for a revert. I didn't mean to remove the area served but I did want to add that it serves County Londonderry and Donegal. You could say that City of Derry Airport serves Derry City and Limavady as it is in between the 2.Factocop (talk) 15:44, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- I would like to see were this was said, the block status on the page even notes that it made not be in the agreed state. You can not also say there more proper name for the airport would be Londonderry Airport when its official name is City of Derry Airport. It's like saying Northern Ireland article could be renames the realm to the north east of the island of ireland. Belfast International states it serves Belfast... thats a good bit further out than Derry. The airport is there, and funded by the council, why? to serve derry and it's rate payers! Serves Derry will be reintroduced--NorthernCounties (talk) 15:51, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- Factocop has slightly misquoted the editnote with the locking of the page: it says "is not an endorsement of the current version", and suggests "Please discuss any changes", which is now happening. Kevin McE (talk) 16:23, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

September 2010
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on City of Derry Airport. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:56, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
