Arindam Chaudhuri(Hindi:अरिंदम चौधुरी ) is the son of Dr Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri who founded the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) in 1973. Arindam is the founder of the charity The Great Indian Dream Foundation and the Planman group of companies..

Biography

Arindam received his Post Graduate Diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from IIPM in 1992. Arindam Chaudhuri was awarded the Academic Gold Medal. He later joined IIPM on completion of the course, where he is currently the Honorary Dean for the IIPM Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies. He was appointed as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Planning Commission, Government of India in 2004.

Great Indian Dream Foundation

In 2002, Arindam Chaudhuri founded the charity, Great Indian Dream Foundation (GIDF). As per GIDF, it works in over three hundred villages in rural India to achieve its objectives of universal education and employment and eradicating poverty, according to its website.
