Yank Barry was born Gerald Barry Falovitch on January 29, 1948 in Montreal, Quebec. The renowned philanthropist along with his friend and partner Muhammad Ali have fed over 407,000,000 meals to the needy around the world over the last eighteen years.

As Founder of Global Village Champions Yank has been the recipient of over 15 international humanitarian awards paid for.

News and media

Yank has two features on Entertainment Tonight, CNN, W-Five, CTV National News, Switchback, Musique Plus, ZNZ News, ABC News and Access Hollywood just to name a few. Yank has been on the cover of Canadian Business, Barter News, Occasion D’affaires, two features in Millionaire magazine, and People magazine.

Yank has also been on the covers of Zoo World, Eye magazine and a major feature in Cashbox. These magazine covers featured Yank's earlier career in the music industry.

Music

He was a touring member of The Kingsmen. Yank pioneered the first quadraphonic album along with Robert Lifton and Ben Lanzarone at Regent Sound Studios in New York in 1970. He then recorded the rock opera The Diary of Mr. Gray in 1971, which put him on the cover of many trade magazines, The Mike Douglas Show, The Merv Griffin Show and The Sally Jessy Raphaël Show. Yank was also commissioned by the White House, (Richard M. Nixon) to write and compose "Welcome Home P.O.W.s" in 1975. Yank produced the Broadway show Let my People Come at the Imperial Theater in 1979. Yank wrote, composed, arranged, produced, mixed or performed with the following artists:
