One big issue in the movie though, for all of those who knows the basics about horses, the horse Flicka, said to be a wild mustang, is so obviously a purebred arabian. A second issue, that anyone speaking swedish will note, is that "Flick" doesn´t mean pretty girl, like they proclaim in the film. In swedish a "flicka" is just a young girl, not necessarily beautiful. | |||

Flicka 2 is a 2010 direct-to-DVD film and sequel to Flicka (2006). This is a movie about a city girl who finds herself in the country not by choice and befriends a horse. Both girl and horse not wanted; have to find a common bond. The film stars Patrick Warburton, Tammin Sursok and Clint Black.
Plot
Carrie McLaughlin (Tammin Sursok) is a big city girl from Pittsburgh whose grandmother is very ill and is forgetful. Child protective team decides to send her to a foster home, because her mother had died, but the grandmother decides to send the child to live in the country with her dad. The girl is very good in skate boarding, but does not know the way of country life as she mocks the lack of phone signals. Her father, Hank (Patrick Warburton) is a tough rancher, who reminisces about Carrie's mom.
There is a reference in the movie about Katy (Alison Lohman) being Carrie's cousin who named the horse Flicka.
Flicka is a horse who can not be tamed by anyone on the ranch, but has a liking for Carrie. Over a set of time, Carrie learns to ride Flicka, but misbehaves. Hank decides to send Flicka to Toby's (Clint Black) ranch as a punishment to Carrie. Flicka escapes the ranch and wreaks havoc on another ranch owned by HD Walker (Ted Whittall), whose daughter, Amy (Emily Tennant) is in competition and has seen Flicka race. Amy convinces her dad to take ownership of Flicka, so she can enter a competition with Flicka.
Amy also loves Jake (Reilly Dolman) who is really in love with Carrie. During the competition, Flicka overthrows Amy and HD Walker decides to kill Flicka, Carrie breaks into the ranch and steals Flicka, and Hank convinces HD not to press charges and let them free Carrie and the horse is saved.
Carrie decides to free Flicka with other mustang horses. A year later, Flicka has a foal, and Carrie and Flicka reunite.
One big issue in the movie though, for all of those who knows the basics about horses, the horse Flicka, said to be a wild mustang, is so obviously a purebred arabian. At the end of the movie, where Flicka has her foal, the movie-creaters chose to use another horse, this one more mustang like.
A second issue, that anyone speaking swedish will note, is that "Flick" doesn´t mean pretty girl, like they proclaim in the film. In swedish a "flicka" is just a young girl, not necessarily beautiful.
Music
Clint Black stars as Toby, another rancher who takes in Flicka. Reilly Dolman is a young country star who is saving to go to Nashville and sings in the movie.
