The Amazing Race 18 is the eighteenth installment of the reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 18 will feature several returning teams of two from previous seasons of The Amazing Race, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world with $1 million for the winning team. The show is hosted by Phil Keoghan.
Production
The Amazing Race 18 will be the first season of the United States series that will be broadcast in high-definition television. While most other prime-time television shows have transitioned to high definition, including other reality television shows, previous seasons of The Amazing Race have used standard-definition television due to the cost and fragility of high-definition recording equipment.
Teams from The Amazing Race 18 have been spotted at Oceanworld in Manly near Sydney, Australia around November 22, 2010; Kynt and Vyxsin, the "Dating Goths" team from The Amazing Race 12, were identified by locals as they raced. Teams were seen racing a day later around the mining town of Broken Hill, New South Wales in the Australian Outback. The following teams participated in the Race, with their relationships at the time of filming.
