Flicka is a horse who can not be tamed by anyone on the ranch, but has a liking for Carrie. Over a set of time, Carrie learns to ride Flicka, but misbehaves. Carrie decides to free Flicka with other mustang horses. A year later, Flicka has a foal, and Carrie and Flicka reunite.
One big issue in the movie though, for all of those who knows the basics about horses, the horse Flicka, said to be a wild mustang, is so obviously a purebred arabian. At the end of the movie, where Flicka has her foal, the movie-creaters chose to use another horse, this one more mustang like.
A second issue, that anyone speaking swedish will note, is that "Flicka" doesn´t mean pretty girl, like they proclaim in the film. In swedish a "flicka" is just a young girl, not necessarily beautiful.
