Selman Stërmasi is a former player, coach and president of KF Tirana and is regarded as one of their greatest players. He was responsible for the transfer of numerous Albanian players abroad, principally to Italy. During the 1990s Stërmasi was honored by the Football Association of Albania, which named the second largest stadium of Tirana after him: Selman Stërmasi Stadium.
