Prometheus is a forthcoming film by Ridley Scott. The project began as a prequel to Alien, written by Jon Spaihts, but after discussions with screenwriter Damon Lindelof, the project became an original film but will still be canon to the Alien (franchise). Swedish actress Noomi Rapace will star as a scientist named Elizabeth Shaw , who is one of the film's five main characters along with Charlize Theron as a character named Vickers.
