Presidio La Bahía
Hi Liveon001, and welcome to wikipedia. I noticed that you changed the infobox for Presidio La Bahía to use the religious building infobox and I wondered why. This article does not convern the Spanish mission, but the military fort that was built to protect the mission. To me, it seems that the religious building infobox is incorrect. I've got this page watchlisted if you will reply here. Thanks. Karanacs (talk) 18:13, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
Also, I noticed that you have moved several mission pages to titles that are incorrect. Titles should be at the most common name used by the entity (see WP:Name). Only if there is confusion (for example, if several buildings were known as Mission Concepcion), would we want to disambiguate the name by including the state or city (see WP:Disambiguation). I'm going to try to clean these up. Please let me know if you have any questions. Karanacs (talk) 18:19, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Hello Karanacs, thank you. I did not change the titles except to add San Antonio, Texas to them because of the other missions of the same name in California. I felt that the mission pages were a mess and needed some form of cohesiveness. I have linked the main title (common name) to the pages, because in general they were hard to find. Photos were not linked to commons pages, some of the pages did not have a block etc. There were definite problems. I wanted there to basically be some unity. Also soon I will be going to take some good pictures of the missions.
I think for La Bahia, the religious block should be kept to fit with the other mission pages in Texas. The other format is completely different than the one I am using, and the religious format has no mention of it being a religious structure unless you see it under edit. --Liveon001 (talk) 19:22, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think you probably need to read the guidelines - we keep the article title at the most common name. If multiple places can claim the same title, then we disambiguate. If we have to do so by place, you first use the country; if that isn't specific enough, then the state; if that isn't specific enough, then the city. And, if we have to disambiguate, we do so using parantheses. So we could have Mission San Juan (Texas) to differentiate from Mission San Juan in California. If there were two in Texas, then we'd have Mission San Juan (San Antonio, Texas) and Mission San Juan (other city, Texas). If there is only one well-known mission with a certain name (like Mission Concepcion, which is never referred to nowadays by its full name), then we do not disambiguate. The names don't have to match just because they are all covered in another article - they have to meet WP naming guidelines.
- I'm going to go ahead and revert you on the Presidio La Bahia article. That article is not about a mission, but about a fort. Therefore it doesn't matter if it matches any of the mission articles.
- I am very glad to see that someone else is interested in the missions, and I look forward to seeing your pictures. Karanacs (talk) 19:36, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I see what you mean. I would like to keep the religious structure block for the other missions at least, and use the full name of the missions at the top of the block. I am happy too to see the same. I hope we can work together on these to make these pages much better. --Liveon001 (talk) 19:40, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- The religious structure infobox makes sense for the other articles. You've inspired me to finally sit down and write an article on Mission Santa Cruz de San Sabá - thanks :) Karanacs (talk) 21:11, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. A list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 14:24, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Re: Horom Citadel
Please stop moving the stub templates to the incorrect place on the page. Stub templates should always go after any navigation templates and permanent categories, as explained at WP:STUB. Grutness...wha? 22:45, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
- ...and given that the citadel is an active archaeological site, it is appropriate for it to have an archaeology-stub template, so please don't keep removing it! Grutness...wha? 23:22, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
You sure take this a little bit too seriously. Sorry I went ahead and basically wrote the whole article on Horom Citadel.--Liveon001 (talk) 03:55, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- It's not really a case of taking it seriously. It's just that using the right stub templates makes it easier for specific groups of editors to find the article - and having the templates in a standard place makes it easier to read the article and easier for both human editors and bots to edit it. When you're editing hundreds of stub articles at a time, anything that slows the job down is an annoyance. :) Grutness...wha? 09:43, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for the explanation Grutness. :) I had been placing the stub templates in the correct place prior to this but thought that it was wrong because of an incorrect example on some other fortress articles and began placing them further up the page.--Liveon001 (talk) 16:52, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- No problem - and sorry if I sounded grumpy :) Grutness...wha? 18:20, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
