Trent Baalke

Trent John Baalke (pronounced /ˈbɑːlkiː/, BAHL-kee) is the General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers, having been promoted to this position from Vice President of Player Personnel in January 2011. Prior to his brief tenure in that position, he had been the team's Director of Player Personnel, a position largely responsible for overseeing the team's college scouting operations. He was first hired by the 49ers in 2005 as their Western region scout, having previously been the National Scout and then College Scouting Coordinator for the Washington Redskins. He was also a scout for the New York Jets from 1998 to 2000.
