Lisa Tucker

Lisa Gabrielle Tucker (born June 13, 1989 in Newport Beach, California) is an American singer, actress, and finalist on the fifth season of American Idol, and was raised in Anaheim, California. Tucker is currently a senior at Kennedy High School (California). Her parents are Stanley and Eleanor Tucker. She is of African-American and Belizean descent.

She starred as "Young Nala" in the Los Angeles production of Disney's The Lion King when she was 10 years old. At 13 years old, Lisa successfully auditioned for Star Search, eventually making it to the finals. She became the runner up to Tiffany Evans.

In 2005, she auditioned for season five of American Idol in Denver, Colorado with a song she also sang on Star Search, "One Moment In Time" by Whitney Houston. Simon Cowell said she was the best 16 year-old to ever audition for the show. The judges made a unanimous decision to put her through to the final 24.
