Owais Ahmed is a Pakistani professional poker player from Anaheim, CA. He is among the leaders in the 2011 World Series of Poker Player of the Year point standings. He won his first World Series of Poker bracelet at the 2011 World Series of Poker where he finished in the money in five mixed game events.

He has a total of seven WSOP in the money finishes (2011-5, and 2010-2). The first of Ahmeds in the money finishes was at a seven-card stud event, but the last six have all been at mixed events. Ahmed made the final table of his first WSOP in the money finish with a 5th place finish in the 2010 408-player $1,500 Seven Card Stud Event 21 for a prize of $29,809. Prior to winning his first bracelet the following year, this was his highest prize.
His 2011 in the money finishes were a 39th place finish at the 963-player $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Event 17 for a prize of $5,512, a 11th place finish at the 489-player $2,500 Eight Game Mix Event 23 for a prize of $15,196, a 45th place finish at the 606-player $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha Event 39 for a prize of $6,272, a 1st place finish to earn his first bracelet at a final table that included Scotty Nguyen and a heads up match against Michael Mizrachi at the 450-player $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low-8 or Better Event 47 for a prize of $255,959, and a 4th place finish at the 128-player $50,000 The Poker Player's Championship Event 55 for a prize of $482,058. He overcame a three-to-one chip deficit against Mizrachi at the start of heads up play.
