The Antonov An-124 is responsible for turning me into a Russophile.
The Tupolev Tu-104 - what an absolutely beautiful aircraft. The first jet aircraft to have sustained service. Another Soviet aviation first!
The Tupolev Tu-144 - the first SST to enter service - Another Soviet aviation first!
A Sukhoi Superjet and Ilyushin Il-96-300 of Aeroflot. A beautiful sight!

I was born in 1974 and was raised and currently live in Perth, Western Australia. I am both an aviation enthusiast and a Russophile; hence my username, Russavia. I have a deep interest in, and affinity for, Russia; its history, its people, its culture, its language, and of course, its vodka–the lush that I am.

My presence on English Misplaced Pages is for one purpose and one purpose only. To participate in a collegial environment, with the community goal of building a free Encyclopaedia.

  • Allow me to present you with this shiny new "badget" in recognition of your (almost-)singlehanded handling of the tagging of Russian geo-articles with new stub types. It's a dirty, boring, mindless job, but someone had to do it (and I'm glad it wasn't me!)—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 20:41, 20 October 2008 (UTC) Allow me to present you with this shiny new "badget" in recognition of your (almost-)singlehanded handling of the tagging of Russian geo-articles with new stub types.
