Angus Young (born March 31 1955 in Glasgow Scotland) is the founder and lead guitarist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. Young and his family moved to Australia where he and his brother Malcolm played in some rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1974.

After wearing costumes on stage, including Superman, Angus followed a suggestion from his sister and began wearing a school outfit on stage which has become one of the trademarks of AC/DC. During live shows, he would clamber on Bon Scott's back and they would make their way through the audience with a smoke bomb streaming smoke from a satchel on Angus' back while he played an extended solo. Now days Bon has been replaced by a bouncer for the tour through the audience, and once back at the stage Angus will climb onto Brian Johnson's shoulders. Angus will also invariably perform a strip tease during a gig, teasing the audience as he loses his blazer, shirt and tie, and will continue from there in just his shorts.
