User:Dalai lama ding dong=sockpuppet?

Any of my 104 talk page watchers have any thoughts about the possible sockpuppetry of User:Dalai lama ding dong? S/he has all the markings - new user, SPI Israel-basher, and quite knowledgeable of wiki-slang. Any thoughts? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 00:23, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't understand RS enough to be a seasoned editor.Cptnono (talk) 00:28, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Are we sure the RS issues are for real or a little bit of an act? Assuming it's real, anyone recall any past perma-banned editors who also had RS issues?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 00:40, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
I was also wondering if this might be a sock. The aggressive tone would fit PalestineRemembered or SupremeDeliciousness, although this guy doesn't seem to be in the same country as either (trying not to disclose any personal info here). No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 01:12, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Well we should probably ask an admin to formally notify the guy and give him some advice. I gave him some info but don't have the patience to hold his hand.Cptnono (talk) 01:37, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
@NMMNG. How about the similarly aggressive User:Cryptonio? I think his IP info is known from previous SPI's.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 01:44, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
That's possible, although he seemed pretty focused on the Gaza War article. Do you know where he used to edit from? No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 01:55, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Not entirely clear. There is the bottom of Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Nableezy/Archive and of course Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Cryptonio/Archive, for starters. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 02:07, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
S'more analysis: The above SPI's do not disclose Cryptonio's IP, though it was once checked by a CU. Whether they still have that information is unclear. The only IP info we can discern from the above SPI's is that according to the CU's, Cryptonio used a t-mobile device to do reverting and the t-mobile device's range edited Illinois and Indiana related content.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 02:41, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
In that case it's probably not the same person as DLDD. No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 03:20, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Do you know DLDD's IP? If so can you share, either here or via email? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 18:53, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

I'd say it is probably Noleander. Noleander was topic-banned from Judaism-related topics in mid-April, DLDD started editing in early May. The style of edit summaries is very similar (Noleander: "clarify wording" is a common refrain, DLDD uses "minor re wording" and "tidy up wording", both use verbose explanations such as "Remove sentence that was repeated twice: only need it once" (N) or 'added in text to explain what the claims are about' (DLDD). Then there is the dual focus on Israel-bashing and Jew-baiting (see DLDD on Antisemitism in Norway or Religious violence, and the confrontations with Jayjg. Who is it, really? (talk) 04:43, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

The Wikistalk output is quite damning, too: Who is it, really? (talk) 04:47, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Noleander was far less confrontational, but the other evidence seems pretty strong. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 18:54, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Foo Bar Buzz Netz

This guy will be indef or banned. Please don't help him. See his block log and edit history. --Frederico1234 (talk) 19:13, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but that's pretty hypocritical of you. He is most likely a sock, but he is striking the edits of an admitted sock. And who are you "helping"?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:15, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Where does the the IP admit he is a sock? --Frederico1234 (talk) 19:20, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Why don't you ask FBBN before reverting him?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:21, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
If he would have been a normal editor I would. He is not. He's a sock and vandal. --Frederico1234 (talk) 19:24, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
On what basis do you make the latter claim?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:25, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Vandal: See the revdels. Sock: See edit summaries. --Frederico1234 (talk) 19:26, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
If the revdels were vandalistic he would have been blocked. They clearly weren't.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:28, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
He was. See block log. --Frederico1234 (talk) 19:29, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't get said impression from the block log. He was unblocked by blocking editor shortly thereafter.--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:38, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

There's weren't any revdels, you can still see the edits, and convince yourself there was no vandalism involved. Only the edit summaries were removed, because someone didn't like the fact that I linked Ceedjee with Noistier in them, after getting confirmation from a CU that they were the same editor. Merging

Please express your opinion over the suggestion to merge the article Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into Timeline of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Both articles are substantially the same, and shouldn't exist in separate. You can participate in the discussion here Talk:Violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict#Merging with Timeline of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.Greyshark09 (talk) 19:18, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Removal of edits to Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni article

I have already contacted ExRat with an appeal for help concerning the removal of additions which I recently made to the above article. As a somewhat new Misplaced Pages user, I am hoping that this is the right way to contact you to talk about this. I saw both ExRat and Brewcrewer in the "View history" for that article, and I wanted to also contact you for any assistance with properly adding what really does seem to me to be very important information to the above article, which may give an explanation as to what actually occurred and led up to the executions. This information is not new, it is from 2007, but it is the first information I have seen anywhere which seems to really explain what actually occurred. The information was from an Iranian LGBT magazine and was quoted on a Russian web site (possibly a blog) commemorating the two year anniversary of the executions. Thank you for any advice and help you can give in this situation. Jcvaughan2004 (talk) 19:31, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Reconsider Pallywood

I referred to a footnote, which you say you can't see. It's right there, note 3. from the Jerusalem Post (But pro-Israel media-watchdog advocates have gone further, arguing that the footage is a prime example of what has been dubbed "Pallywood" - media manipulation, distortion and outright fraud by the Palestinians (and other Arabs, such as the Reuters photographer caught faking photos during the Second Lebanon War), designed to win the public relations war against Israel.) So, do the decent thing old chap, and reconsider. The edit you reverted had a solid reason you just happened to miss. We all have our bad days.Nishidani (talk) 21:19, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

which JP article?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 04:06, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

User:Noloop

Thought you might want to know that User:Noloop/User:Mindbunny has said you are racist in this comment. I've asked him to redact the comment on his Talk: page. Jayjg 00:07, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
