Angus Young (born March 31 1959 in Glasgow Scotland) is the founder and lead guitarist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. Young and his family moved to Australia where he and his brother Malcolm played in some rock bands before they founded AC/DC in 1973.
After wearing costumes on stage, including Superman, Angus followed a suggestion from his sister and began wearing a school outfit on stage which has become one of the trademarks of AC/DC. During live shows, he would clamber on lead singer Bon Scott's shoulders and they would make their way through the audience with a smoke bomb streaming smoke from a satchel on Angus' back while he played an extended solo.
