Hi Guanaco. You are probably the most reasonable, kind, and decent person on this site. I am taking a long wikibreak and moving my editing to for Native American Articles. I may come back and edit more content (NOT the Merkey article -- staying away from that one). The same group of idiots persist in their stalking of my account just as they did Waya's account. Please protect the user and talk pages for my account at ] along with the lsiting of stalker accounts and place the account under indef block. If I need the use the account again, I'll post to your page and ask for it to be unlocked. I managed to get the Native American Church articles completed and more content on Quannah Parker and other Native American leaders before the stalkers closed in and made things so disruptive, I cannot contribute with this account. These stalkers need to be booted off the site. They are disruptive and persistent and apparently seriously disturbed. Thanks for the kindness and genuineness in putting WP first and its needs over these petty issues. Sincerely and all my love. ] 21:47, 30 March 2006 (UTC) Hi Guanaco. Interesting that this request comes just a few hours after a checkuser request was requested to him: http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Requests_for_CheckUser#PeyoteMan_.28talk_.E2.80.A2_contribs.29 Seems people are accusing him of being Gadugi and/or Waya sahoni. May I request that the Checkuser either confirm or deny his identify as a sockpuppet first please? Thanks. --] 21:59, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Katelyn Faber

Could you weigh in at the bottom of the Talk Page for Katelyn Faber regarding the inclusion of an image of her? User:Tufflaw, who unsuccessfully tried to have the entire article deleted back in December 2005 insists on censoring/deleting it for extremely specious reasons, and I've been asked to gather a consensus. Please read the bottom two sections of that page. Thanks. Nightscream 18:48, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

Reach out
Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Misplaced Pages to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Misplaced Pages's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
Stress Alerts
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
The last AC meeting (full log)
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

Thanks

Thanks for adding the photo of Caroline_Thompson to Deceased_Wikipedians. --Alabamaboy 21:12, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

I didn't add it; I only added {{clear}} to fix the formatting. —Guanaco 22:39, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Re MarkSweep, did you know about his deletions of Chechnya-related userboxen?

They were {{Template:User independent Chechnya}} and {{Template:User Russian Chechnya}}. BTW, I think highlights rather than the full text of WP:UBD#* would be more effective. StrangerInParadise 06:43, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks.

Thanks for fixing my comments at the RfAr. I believe MarkSweep is way out of control. There's a line to be drawn and he's past it. — natha(?)nrdotcom 12:31, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Sockpuppets

While in the course of investigating some requests at wikipedia:Requests for Checkuser, it was discovered (and later confirmed) that you were behind a string of grossly inappropriate sockpuppets, including (but not limited to) User:Your continued donations keep Misplaced Pages running!, User:A. Beesley, and User:AIDS reappraisal. user:Jack Bauer, Misplaced Pages admin, user:Jack Bauer vs. Chuck Norris, user:Nina Myers vs. Misplaced Pages, user:Tony Almeida on a wikibreak, user:Walt Cummings, Wikimedia steward. Since the subtle approach was ignored, I'm asking you plainly - do you have anything to say in response? Raul654 05:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't notice the talk message. I would have explained it there, but I logged out before I received the message. The accounts were a test of Curps' bot and the other methods of dealing with borderline-inappropriate usernames, impostors, and vandal accounts; it's good to know that these are being handled seriously. I am trying to coordinate the efforts of Curps and the freenode channel #vandalism-en-wp (CVU) to make the system more efficient.
I am curious how this came up at wikipedia:Requests for Checkuser. I am not responsible for any of the usernames listed there. —Guanaco 21:16, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

User:PeyoteMan Request User and Talk page Protection. Also place Indef Block on my Account
