Júlio César Soares Espíndola (born September 3, 1979), commonly known as Júlio César, is a Brazilian footballer who plays goalkeeper for Internazionale. He was born in Rio de Janeiro and played for much of his whole career for the local Flamengo. He started playing indoor football at Grajau Country Club, a local club situated in Grajau (a suburb in Rio de Janeiro)where he spend most of his childhood. At the winter of 2005, he signed by Internazionale and immediately loaned to Chievo Verona to register. He joined Internazionale in August 2005 formally, signed 3-years-deal. And has since replaced Francesco Toldo as first choice goalkeeper for Inter due to his impressive form.

He has played 7 times for the Brazilian National Team, having won the Copa América in 2004.
