Patna College is one of the most reputed colleges in the state of Bihar, India. It was founded on 9 January 1863during the British Raj and is now affiliated to Patna University. It is also considered to be the oldest institution of higher education in Bihar.

History

Since its inception in 1863 Patna College functioned as a Government College until it became a constituent college of Patna University on January 2, 1952. The college celebrated the beginning of 150th year of its foundation in January 2012.
