Religious terrorism

See my edit comment. None of those are Islamic groups, they're generally secular, some are communist. Jayjg 19:13, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Misplaced Pages talk:Centralized discussion/Lists by religion-ethnicity and profession

Hi, could you elaborate on your comment to the discussion? If you think the proposal needs to be changed to be more inclusive then please describe exactly what change would satisfy you. Regards, Durova 00:15, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Do not add in claims about people's sexuality without cast-iron certainty. Otherwise you could leave yourself liable to being sued by them. WP is protected from such a defamation case but you may not be. FearÉIREANN\ 01:59, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Your Email

Regarding your email, you were not blocked against policy. I suggest you stop complaining about it, as the block will expire in about 23 hours. After that, please add citations for entries you add to List of gay, lesbian or bisexual people, a particularly controversial list. By the way, legal threats will not help you and are grounds for a permanent ban on their own. Superm401 | Talk 19:55, 28 December 2005 (UTC) I note that you didn't flag User:Jtdirl's threats to me. Obviously you are biased against me: why? Carlossuarez46 01:03, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

CARTOONS OF MOHAMMED

Showing the figures of Mohammed is disturbing muslims. And it is a insult to Islam. In Islam making and also looking the figures of Mohammed is forbidden. That is raping the holy things of Islam. And it is not about "freedom".PLEASE get back your sıgnature.Thanks.--Erdemsenol 01:15, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

It's about freedom of speech and no Islamic terrorism is going to deter the truth from outing. And if it's forbidden to look at figures of Mohammed how come you did it; are you going to hell? Carlossuarez46 18:06, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Religious affiliation category

I see that you have removed "Baptists" from Clay Aiken's entry again, again saying there is no evidence. In his memoirs Aiken states that he grew up in the Baptist church, attended the Moravian church for a time as a teen, and then returned to the Baptist church (pp. 212-213). On page 213 he states, "Today I am a proud Southern Baptist." In addition to that evidence, here's a link from the Raleigh Leesville Baptist Church's website: . -Jmh123 00:35, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Simply put the cite in the article. Carlossuarez46 20:13, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Please avoid moving articles by Cut&Paste

If you want to move an article, like Aleksey Gennadievich Cherneshov do not do cut & paste. Instead just click on the move button (located between history and watch) it is much faster and preserves the history of the article, so it easier to see the changes. Thanks for your work anyway there are not that much Russian editors around abakharev 07:50, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Russian politicians

Thanks!!! What you are doing is great.

I am fully supportno patronimics in the titles Russian bios (unless there are two equally notable people sharing the same First name and Last name but distinguised by patronimics - in that case First name+Last name should be a disambig), in fact it was a consensus of a discussion on the Russian board. I have moved quite a few of the articles myself, but there are tons more and I am lazy. abakharev 22:03, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the {{For templates on Tkachyovs, they help a lot. Maybe in this case we should use the patronimics in the titles and have Alexander Tkachyov as a disambig? abakharev 22:46, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I think it is a good idea to move the list, getting rid of the acronim and having List in fron is a Good Thing abakharev 20:47, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Translit

Hi, Carlossuarez! Saw your messages on Alex's talk page, regarding translit in particular. Just wanted to welcome you to our can of worms :) Feel free to ask questions if you are interested.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 23:02, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome. I've just left another comment you might be interested in.—Ëzhiki (ërinacëus amurënsis) 23:13, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/1800Flowers

I posted this on the AfD, but thought I'd ping your talk page since it runs directly counter to what you said:

It is on NASDAQ as "FLWS." As a publicly traded company, you can find the requested info (733.74M USD revenue; 3000 employees). Finally, there has been a lot of non-trivial, non-ad press on the company. --Karnesky 01:42, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/List of interesting or unusual place names (2nd nomination)

Despite the overwhelming support for keeping the list in article namespace, the above relisting was closed early. At Misplaced Pages:Deletion review#List of interesting or unusual place_names, the deletion is being reviewed once more (to restore the list from Misplaced Pages to article namespace (it's currently at Misplaced Pages:List of interesting or unusual place names). -- User:Docu

Former place names

Hey, thanks. I can't believe the other guy is accusing me of chauvinism. --Khoikhoi 22:12, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm. Not that I know of. You might want to check the WikiProjects. --Khoikhoi 22:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Hello Carlossuarez46,
Yes, many Middle Eastern cities, districts, mountain ranges, rivers, etc have several names. I've added many Kurdish names to Kurdish-related articles. I'll keep adding them whenever I meet such articles. Thanks.

Salvation Air Force

Hi. I notice you expressed an opinion on the deletion debate, saying that the band was not notable. I had a look at the band, and they seem to satisfy the WP:MUSIC criteria, and I would really appreciate any explanation of why you considered them to be non-notable. I'm not trying to dispute any AFD results, but just trying to work out what it is that makes people think they are not notable. Any comments welcome. DJ Clayworth 16:55, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Image Copyright Status

Hi. See here, here, and here for discussion on the copyright status of the Turkey map images connected to your requested template. We need to validate the use of these on Turkish Misplaced Pages so that we can properly identify their copyright provenance for here. --CBDunkerson 12:57, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Singapore public gay parties

Regarding your participation in the aforementioned AfD (which resulted in no consensus) I would appreciate your opinions in the following AfD discussions. Thank you for your time. -- Krash (Talk) 15:41, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Category:Kurdistan

Turkey recognises Northern Cyprus. No one recognises Kurdistan. Does it still not make sense to you? --Kash 02:21, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Auxentius of Bithynia

I don't think there's a hard and fast rule. Since the birth year is circa 400, I guess I could have used Category:400s births or even 5th century births depending on the vagueness of the information. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:08, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Nice one! I have supported your support. SilkTork 00:40, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Please help

Hi, it's nice to meet a fellow Californian here! I really need your help on the Adana page - User:TuzsuzDeliBekir has been several paragraphs, many of which you wrote. He says here that they're about Antioch (Antakya), not Adana. Please join in on the discussion, it would be much appreciated. Thanks. --Khoikhoi 06:55, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks a bunch, thank you also for all the hard work you do. :) If the user objects to the paragraphs again I'll let you know. --Khoikhoi 00:02, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

re:Elaea

that makes more sense. its going to have to stay as a MEast-geo-stub tho rather than whatever country it might or might not be in (a shame - if it could be pinned down to yemen then we could use Yemen-geo-stub). BL Lacertae - kiss the lizard 03:03, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

if thats the case then AfricaE-geo-stub (East Africa) would be a better one (that covers everywhere from Ethiopia to Tanzania). thanks. BL Lacertae - kiss the lizard 01:46, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Jonathan Williams Page Deletion

Here you go, http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jonathan_Williams_%28pastor%29_%282nd_nomination%29 you said delete last time hopefully this time we can make it stick.

Another question

According to this, the user says that Μερσίνη is not the historical name of Mersin. Do you any idea what is? --Khoikhoi 06:48, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Alright, thanks. :) Good job on the Adana page BTW. --Khoikhoi 00:37, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
