The Independent Greeks (Template:Lang-el) are a Greek right-wing political party, created by MP Panos Kammenos, a former member of New Democracy on February 24, 2012. The founding declaration was presented on March 11.

Kammenos had been expelled from the New Democracy parliamentary group after voting against Lucas Papademos' coalition government in a vote of confidence. Independent Greeks claim not to have any links with New Democracy. They reject the loan agreement between Greece, the EU and the IMF. Kammenos calls for a committee standing above political parties and endued with emergency powers and authorities to clear up the events that led into Greece's economic crisis. He proclaimed a "national awakening and uprising", and supposed that Greece had fallen victim to an "international conspiracy".

The party campaigns for lifting the immunity of ministers, parliamentarians, and officials against prosecution and to make accountable those who bear the blame for the crisis. It calls for the protection of national sovereignty, for German war reparations, for cancelling the memorandum which it deems illegal, and for building Greece anew.

The Independent Greeks, has said he supports and Yiannis Manolis, former member of New Democracy. On March 4, 2012, announced the membership of the independent MP A 'Athens, Elena Kountouras. On March 11 2012, the independent MP A 'Piraeus Panagiotis Melas (Deleted by New Democracy) said the entry and support for Independent Greeks. On March 15, 2012, Kostas Markopoulos the independent MP Euboea (Deleted by New Democracy-former parliamentary spokesman of this party) has said he supports the new party, Dimitris Stamatis (independent MP Aetolia-Acarnania) said he entrys in the Independent Greeks.
