Absalom is a fictional character, a supervillain in the Marvel Universe. He was created by writers Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, and penciller Mark Pacella. His first appearance was in X-Force #10.

Character's background

Little is known of Absalom's past prior to him joining the immortal mutant group known as the Externals. It is known he lived sometime in the Old West, where he was to be hanged for the murder of the renowned lawman and gunfighter Caleb Hammer. Upon his first death his spines grew, cutting himself free and scaring away the crowd. At some point in time he joined another group of Externals. It was later revealed that Absalom is infected with the deadly disease known as the Legacy Virus. Before the virus could claim him though, he is killed by Selene, who is killing all the other Externals.

Powers and abilities

Absalom possessed superhuman agility, balance, coordination, endurance, reflexes, speed, strength, and the ability to grow razor-sharp bone spines from all over his body.
