The Yankee Group is a large market research company, describing itself as a "technology research and consulting firm" , based in Boston, USA. The firm itself was founded in 1970, and was previously owned by Reuters. It is currently owned by the private equity firm Alta Communications.

In the last several years, the company has had a few owners. Each acquirer in its turn has seen value in the company, but sold the company off after a short amount of time.
