Raúl Alonso Jiménez Rodríguez (born May 5, 1991) is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Club América in the Primera División de Mexico.

Club career

Today he is one of the promising young players with América who debuted under Alfredo Tena in the Torneo Apertura 2011. He made his senior team debut on October 9, 2011 as a starter in a match against Monarcas Morelia in a 1 - 1 draw at the Estadio Azteca.

His First goal was at the 2' minute against Puebla in a 2-3 lost during the 2011 apertura

Raul Jimenez was called up by Luis Fernando Tena for the 18 man roster that will go to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics

He is renowned for his excellent vision, often being compared to Dennis Bergkamp of Arsenal, due to him being able to pick a pass in difficult situations. He is a creator, rather than a finisher - in contrast to Javier Hernandez
