Aaron Gwyn is an American short story author and novelist. He received his PhD in English from the University of Denver and is an associate professor of English at University of North Carolina - Charlotte where he teaches fiction writing and American literature. He is the author of the short story collection, Dog on the Cross (Algonquin Books, 2004) and of the novel, The World Beneath (W.W. Norton, 2009). Dog on the Cross was a finalist for the 2005 New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award.
