Support
I support you efforts in drawing out and exposing flaws in the actions of Admins. As editors we are challenged to not judge our fellow collaborators. But, as humans, sometimes we can't help it. The cumalative effect of observing a fellow editor (or admin) in the nooks and crannies of WikiWorld results in evaluating who they are...based on what they say, personal boastful and contrary-to-fact claims they make, how they treat other editors, etc. It's not science and AGF lessens with time and with repeated observations of subtle yet biting remarks. Some admins claim they don't hold a grudge, ever. Having seen and read various talk pages, I doubt that is true. Ergo, my vagueness. ```Buster Seven Talk 15:36, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what, exactly, you're referring to, since I have no agenda of "drawing out and exposing flaws in the actions of Admins". Overall, I think they do a pretty good job, and I try to avoid those few who -- in my opinion -- do not. Beyond My Ken (talk) 19:12, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry I mentioned it. Bad idea on my part.```Buster Seven Talk 05:14, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know if it was a bad idea or a good idea, I just have no idea what you're talking about. How about a diff pointing me to whatever provoked you to make the comment? Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:18, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- It truly is a case of mistaken identity and I feel foolish for having made it. Sorry to have bothered you. ```Buster Seven Talk 07:23, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
I'm not sure about the Wikistyle preference (?), but in American English, punctuation goes inside quotation marks. This isn't a matter of preference or a matter of style. Inside is correct. Outside is incorrect. If you're British or Australian, then, fine.

- Yes, I'm aware of American English style. Please check here for the Misplaced Pages Manual of Style preference, where it says:
See the examples given there for additional details. Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 03:23, 9 August 2012 (UTC)On Misplaced Pages, place all punctuation marks inside the quotation marks if they are part of the quoted material and outside if they are not. This practice is sometimes referred to as logical quotation. It is used here because it is deemed by Misplaced Pages consensus to be more in keeping with the principle of minimal change. This punctuation system does not require placing final periods and commas outside the quotation marks all the time, but rather maintaining their original positions in (or absence from) the quoted material.
- You might also want to check out WP:ENGVAR, which lays out polcies about variations of English language styles. The executive summary is: use the type of English appropriate to the subject matter (for an American subject, use American English, for an Australian subject use Australian English), and if the subject matter has no "natural" variety of English, use whatever version was used by the creator of the article, or which predominates in the article as it now stands, and don't change from one established variety of English to another without good reason to do it. (For instance: "I don't like British English" is not a good reason, while "This subject is American and should be written in American English" is - although people will probably still object.) Using Hidden comments to create a white line space
I see you continue to do it as the WP:COMMENT tells us not to. I've made a section on the talk page Misplaced Pages talk:Manual of Style#Spacing and Using the hidden comment function to create space between a template and text above it as a forum to discuss weather or not we should remove that part of the guideline.Curb Chain (talk) 22:09, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
