Tow Trucker talk 09:31, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- it was like two or three years ago and it was a military article about a recipient of a navy cross or air force cross but i think the article has been deleted now. but before the article was deleted at that time there was no discussion on deleting it but it has been now as far as i know. but anyway, im getting off track. i edited and the article (wasnt logged in and didnt have an account back then) and added 1 line and added a source about the fighting from some website i cant remember. came back 10 minutes later and it was already removed and when i hit "history" it simply said it was reverted and didnt give a reason why. i was pretty irked. as i've kept up with random bits and pieces of wiki stuff throughout the years i now know that there's a notability policy or something for military award recipients no matter how good the actual page is. another thing is the expansive bureaucracy on here that makes things difficult, so many rules, policies etc etc. so it's because of those things and the elitist attitude of a lot of contributors here that i've chosen not to contribute full time here. instead i contribute to various wikia's for games and such. From what I could see on your User Page only the category was removed. If I missed something or you need further help feel free to post here again or on my talk page.

- It was a minor bot glitch, i assume it was because the operator put "Category User:Dainomite" instead of "Category:User:Dainomite" to remove in the program. link for reference — dainomite
Adoption
Hello Dainomite! Thank you for showing an interest in joining my adoption program! I'll be happy to adopt you because I enjoy working with others – especially to help them become a better editor on Misplaced Pages!
Take a look at my edit history; I usually work at Articles for Deletion, Articles for Creation, in new page patrolling, and in vandalism-fighting. I have been an editor on Misplaced Pages for a year, and have made over 15,000 edits to the encyclopedia.
I'm usually available on Misplaced Pages from 0:00 - 5:00 and occasionally from 12:00-16:00 (all times UTC). I travel frequently, usually on business trips around the world. I'm so young, yet so busy.
If I adopt you, I promise I will provide you with the most friendly, easy, and convenient adoption service through my adoption school. If you think I am the right adopter for you, we shall get started now! →Bmusician 14:52, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds great! How/where am I getting started? :3— dainomite
- I'll create an official adoption page for you - and we'll get started from there. →Bmusician 02:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Welcome to Bmusician's adoption school!
Welcome!
You are now a student at my adoption school. Your official adoption page is located at User:Bmusician/Adoption/Dainomite.
In your first assignment (which I have already assigned to you) you will learn about the five pillars. Read the lesson carefully. After you're done reading the lesson, you will take a test about the lesson. You must answer all of the questions in the test adequately in order to move on to the next assignment.
After you've completed all required assignments, you will then take a final examination. If you pass the examination, you are permitted to either continue to study at the adoption school, or "graduate" from the school. (We'll talk about that when that time actually comes.) If you fail, however, you must stay at the adoption school until you finally pass an exam. Please note that you may leave the school at any time without graduating, but that means that you won't be awarded the "special barnstar" I give to my graduate students.
That's it; again I welcome you to my adoption school! Please leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions regarding the school. →Bmusician 02:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good, and off I go (off to read the lesson I mean xD). A few quick questions though if that's alright... When I'm done reading a lesson do I respond on your talk page, my adoption page or your adoption school page to tell you i'm ready for the quiz on that lesson? Are all the lessons on my adoption page and all the quizzes on the main adoption school page? Also along the same lines, if I have questions, comments, concerns etc about a lesson do I respond on that specific section on my adoption page? Also, is there an "I was adopted by Bmusician" userbox I can put up? I don't plan on having a ridiculous amount of them, just a half-dozen or so potentially(If I get crazy with it). Thanks again!— dainomite
- Sure, you can put {{Adoptee|Bmusician}} on your userpage. When you're done reading a lessona nd would like to take the quiz, you can respond on your adoption page or my talk page, and questions and concerns related to the lessons belong on the adoption page. Best, →Bmusician 03:40, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Follow-up adoption questions
Dear Dainomite,
Thank you for completing your adoption assignment. Unfortunately, at least one of your answers to the questions have been found to be inadequate. As a result, additional questions have been given to you in which you must complete in order to move on to the next assignment. Please view the assignment on your adoption page and complete the follow-up questions as soon as you can, but remember to take your time. If you no longer wish to receive these notifications, please click here to turn them off.

Adoption
I regret to tell you that I will no longer be active on Misplaced Pages, and due to that, I can no longer be your mentor. If you wish to continue to be under mentorship, please find someone else at Misplaced Pages:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters. Regards, →Bmusician 07:53, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- I have stated that I will not see any of Bmusician's adoptees go without. Since his adoption course was based upon mine, I am in a unique position to carry it on. If you would like me to do so, please do let me know. Worm(talk) 12:43, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry about the incredibly late response Worm, I'm a bit hesitant because I don't want to waste your time if I'm not super active on WP like I am on a Wikia I contribute to. I might have a few questions from time to time, such as, how do I join Wikiprojects. Also, I want to take on an Article for creation for Safe Boats International, LLC and was wondering how I should get started because it looks very daunting being a first time contributor and even with WP:AfC and WP:YFA.— dainomite
- Don't worry about it. I'm happy to just be a target for your questions, especially if you don't mind them coming from other people on my talk page. I've got a lot of people who help out with good answers over there... you're welcome to join in the fun! Joining a wikiproject is really easy, you just choose the wikiproject and put your name in the members list! Then it's just a case of looking at their pages and seeing if there's anything you can do to help.
- Creating an article, I'd recommend starting in your userspace. User:Dainomite/Safe Boats International, LLC might not be a bad place to start! I always start by working out a vague structure based on a similar article (putting in the titles) then adding information and sources to each section. Just see what happens when you start writing!
- Finally, I'm afraid your signature is a bit of an issue. Per our policy on WP:SIG, it can't be transcluded. What's more, it should be under 256 chars, which yours isn't. You might want to do a bit of a re-design. Worm(talk) 13:58, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I'm a new wikipedian and I would appreciate any feedback on how I'm doing with what will soon be my first article, User:Dainomite/SAFE Boats International LLC. I know i need to find more reliable sources somewhere but any tips, feedback etc would be appreciated. Thank you to whoever responds. daintalk 21:25, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Dainomite! I see you have some bare URLs (which can cause link rot), how about putting them into citation templates? An easy way to convert them is using Reflinks; to do that just click here and paste the name of your page into the field, then hit enter.
- Also, maybe you could provide more references, and add an infobox (such as
{{Infobox company}}
:) benzband (talk) 21:41, 9 August 2012 (UTC)- Hi there! Any other advice other than adding the infobox and making the raw url references into citation templates? I'm thinking {{Cite web}} for the cite template, or would there be a better one? Also, just in general try to find more sources for information I assume. When do you think I should add {{Submit}} to it? After I can add more content to it? daintalk 23:02, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed, you would need to find more sources for this to pass at AfC. And yes, you can still edit it while it's got {{submit}} on it. Other than that and the above, it's looking good! benzband (talk) 23:22, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Okay thank you very much. daintalk 00:28, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

DGG ( talk ) 20:53, 18 August 2012 (UTC)- Thank you so much! huzzah! The first article I created was accepted the first go-around! :D Oh, how do I get my articles class assessed to see where it fits on the quality scale? thanks again. daintalk 23:33, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- Although I accepted it, it needed some additional editing to remove over detailed and over promotional wording. I did some-- more is necessary, and I leave that to you. The exact price of contracts is not encyclopedic material, as long as the article gives needs the impression of it being a very substantial contract. Including the bureaucratic jargon for the various missions isn't encyclopedia either, not are the names of the executives beyond the CEO. We din't say "various sources" -- rather, we simply cite them. An d there is a real problem about the section which you had in the introduction, but I moved to "Earmarks" This material must have some additional sources and be worded very carefully. I didn't do this for you, because first you should get at least one additional source. Negative implications are something we are very careful about. You may want to use a short quote.
- That's my evaluation. People do here what they like, and I just concern myself with getting articles suitable for userspace. Anyone who wants to evaluate them can do so. You could ask a relevant wikiproject, but it would be better to improve the article before that. ` DGG ( talk ) 00:31, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
