delete
Are you sure chicagos low rent district was an attack page? You deleted it immediately after it was vandalized into an personal attack page, now i can't see the history but it looked (at a glance) legitimate, at lease it had a few seperate users editing it. --Darkfred 23:44, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for checking, I just wanted to make sure. Feel free to delete this comment if you want. --Darkfred 23:50, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Master Jay's RfA
Hey there ESkog! Thanks for your support at my recent RfA. If you ever have a concern, leave me a note. Thanks --Jay(Reply) 02:54, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
vandalism
Hi There, You left me a message (to IP address 152.91.9.115, I wasn't signed in) regarding vandalism to the Political Correctness article. I removed those three sentences because I thought they were false, or at least unencyclopedic. “Aborigine” is a noun and “aboriginal” is an adjective – the removed sentence, as well as not referencing that “aborigine” is declining in use, also didn’t explain why the use of an adjective rather than a noun is “PC”. Also, the term "Torres Strait Islander" is not 'recent' having been used for at least 40 years. I thought the overall impression was misleading and the information unreferenced (and false), so I deleted it rather then “rephrase”. Assuming you have no objection, I will re-remove those sentences tonight. -Mb99 04:34, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
My RfA
Well that went amazingly well. Thank you for the nominating me. I think that your well worded nomination helped to pave the way for my successful candidancy - those editors who weren't familiar with me were able to grasp from your nomination what my strengths were. Thank you, so much. -- No Guru 04:45, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
All or None
You can't make the move for some pages if not all pages. AR120346 18:52, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Moved Irish-Americans back
I moved List of Irish-Americans back to that page. Funny how no one seemed to have a problem with it when it was done to the Irish. I guess that's just goes in with the long history of descrimination in America towards Irish. AR120346 18:56, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
List of Americans of Irish Descent
It's the only page that hasn't been deleted, don't tell me you don't descriminate against Irish. AR120346 18:58, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
List of Irish-Americans
If none of the others groups at at "List of Americans of ___ descent" then the Irish shouldn't be there either. One editor has put them back there. The Irish should stay at "List of Irish-Americans" untill all groups are moved to a new title. AR120346 19:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Admin?
- Thanks for the vote of confidence. I was nominated in January of this year, but failed to get the necessary percentage (most 'oppose' votes felt that I was too new at the time). Do you think enough time has passed for another shot? OhNoitsJamie 20:50, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Dechronifying
FYI - I've re-deleted Shultz IV's article Dechronifying as a recreation of the AFD'd article Dechronification. I pointed him to WP:DRV as I expect he will want to contest this deletion. However, as you may know, Dechronification went to DRV once already, where it did not find support. FreplySpang (talk) 14:34, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. the DRV discussion can be seen in , in which Shultz withdrew it from consideration. FreplySpang (talk) 14:40, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- How long is Freply's memory??? If she's a mid-30s who has bigger fish to fry (i.e. more important things) in her life, having to work on graduate studies, (possibly) raise a family, and deal with thousands of other issues on Misplaced Pages, don't you think she could've forgotten about the whole Dechronification issue by now?
- One of my pet peeves is when someone has a LONG memory about the negative things involving me. If they were positive, I wouldn't mind but negative long-term memories trouble me because times change, and so do people. When they still consider those memories however, that implies that they don't acknowledge that. --Shultz IV 18:08, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

What is your stance towards Esperanza?
Hi, I'm curious as to why you haven't joined Esperanza yet? Knowing you, you would even be a GREAT advisory council member there. I plan on joining Esperanza when I prove to their Admin-General and their Advisory Council that I can work on Misplaced Pages with the same standards that they have. --Shultz IV 21:08, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the revert here, I hadn't spotted it. Sadly this entry did start off quite contentiously, hopefully the "tar-all-with-a-single-brush" brigade will give up on it. PhilipPage 21:47, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for voting on my RfA
Thanks so much for voting! Thanks so much for voting on my request for adminship. I have decided to withdraw my nomination as it seems that consensus will not be reached. If you voted in support, thanks for putting your trust in me to be a good admin. If you voted in opposition, thank you as well for your criticism as it will only help me be a better Wikipedian and perhaps help if/when I apply for adminship again sometime in the future. |

Freezing the page cooled off the argument. I think that the text proposed by JM Rasor can be used. No one has objected to it, and then the page can be unprotected. -- evrik 13:53, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Oxymorons/Oxymora
Where are you ultimately wanting this page to be? With admin tools I can merge two pages with histories and leave the rest as empty redirects, if that's what you want. Leave a note on my talk page. (ESkog) 01:36, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
When I wandered in, "List of oxymora" had content and "List of oxymorons" redirected. Then i noticed that someone decided to swap the article and the redirector. (Spelling preference.) I agree, let it happen. (No complete straw poll, but the pretentious old spelling exceeds many peoples' threshold of annoyance, as mentioned on the discussion page. Someone finally acted. I doubt the changed version will annoy anyone enough to change it back.
Next, I noticed that "Talk:List of oxymora" had content and "Talk:List of oxymorons" did not exist. That is, the other user moved the page but did not move the talk page. So I tried the Move button and it worked. (Yay!)
Next, I thought, "Why did that user "move" the article page by cross-pasting the contents?" (When you do it that way, the History does not follow.)
So, I tried reverting both pages, intending to do a real "Move". Then I got stuck. You can't move a page onto its redirect, if that redirect has History. (Logical, I guess?) I then tried moving the redirecting page away, but that act leaves behind a redirect. The new redirect has no history, but it does not point back to the parent page either, so again NO DICE. Maybe the system needs a SWAP method, whereby one can swap a page and its redirect (and their histories?)? Something to think about. (Or else that's where the administrators come in.)
Your proposal sounds right. If you can, (1) wash out the cyclical edits i just did, (2) consolidate the histories under the page with content ("List of oxymorons"), (3) make "List of oxymora" a 'fresh' redirect, (4) burn the unintended "List Of Oxymora" page

rfa thanks
Thanks for the support on my RFA. Unfortunately, it did not achieve consensus. I look forward to your support in a couple months when I apply again. Holler at me if you need anything. ⇒ SWATJester Aim Fire! 01:10, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
warnings????!?!?!
I have numerous warnings from you about vandilization and me being homophobic?????? I have NEVER written anything in wikipedia, why does it say that I have done all these horrible things???? I can't believe that someone would insult me on a personal level just because they assume I have done something; I am deeply hurt that you would call me homophobic- my college education is in defending people from discrimination, why on earth would i discriminate against anyone? I would also never think of vandalizing the site, i didn't even know i could delete or rewrite things on here! In using this website i understand that it is public opinion and not fact, and why would i have the right to change or vandalize anyone elses opinions and/or beliefs? If i don't agree w/ something on your site, i just go to another site that includes factual information to be used as a real reference. You have no right to resort to name-calling with customers of this site, how dare you!207.200.116.203 09:19, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not really sure what you're talking about, since I don't see any warnings signed by me on your talk page. I'm sure, too, that I would never call another user homophobic - show me the link to whatever in the world you're talking about. Since this is AOL, and they assign IP addresses strangely, you will almost definitely receive warnings which are not meant for you. Your complaint is not with me, but with AOL. (ESkog) 16:05, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- ESkog is right. Many users (including the less scrupulous ones) use AOL and the IP you left your message here with could have been used by a vandal just several hours prior. They assign IPs to one AOL customer for a time, and then assign the same IPs to a different AOL user some time later. Also, I recommend switching to a different ISP. AOL's monthly fees are far too high ($23.90/month for Dial-up!? Many other ISPs offer lower-priced services) and plenty more can be said negatively about the company. --Shultz IV 17:47, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
