RunEvent is currently organizing Rune's 25th skateboarding anniversary to be held at Fælledparken, Copenhagen in the summer of 2011. Rune Glifberg (born October 7, 1974) is a professional skateboarder known for an extensive list of tricks that he has completed.

Early life

Glifberg was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Glifberg began skating at age 11 after a friend brought a board over to his house.

Professional skateboarding

In the early 1990s, Glifberg turned professional as a "vert" skater (skateboarding on u-shaped ramps) and relocated to the United States (US).

Flip

Glifberg signed a contract with Flip Skateboards and, as of September 2012, he remains a member of the company's professional team.

Etnies

Glifberg's second signature shoe with etnies is called the Forsvar, meaning defend or defense in Danish.
