Samsat is a village in the Adıyaman Province of Turkey, situated on the upper Euphrates river. It occupied the location of the ancient fortified city of Samosata until the area was flooded behind the Atatürk Dam. The new village was built by the government to house the displaced residents.
The geographic coordinates are 37°35′N 38°28′E / 37.583°N 38.467°E / 37.583; 38.467.
