This article has stayed, the other was merged into this one. --Admiral Roo 05:04, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

ok now, now that this is done we need to change the name of the List of xbo360 for sonic the hedgehog (ps3 and xbox360) also for list of ps3 games><ino 05:11, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Yes. Does anybody notice that this article seems to look like it's fan-filled? I saw this in part of a sentence: "old skool sonic." I fixed it. --Alexie

? fan filled? so... if people that are fan of something. when they edit an article they seem to know more, in another words..Fan of something will know more than an ordinary person for example a fan of Sony playstaion will know more than someone doing an article on it, the fan may know every single game ...ect

Old skool? yes that is the main word people uses now are days, saying old school is like going to school. you can use old skool for games, old skool for games is like in the 90's olding days, sayin old school for games is like when you were at school so... please change it back to "Old Skool":D ><ino 02:24, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

Does saying the 'traditional' rather than 'old skool' Sonic games solve the issue? --Ostrich 16:05 15 October 2005 (BST)

lol thanks a lot you got me lost just forget it, do what you like><ino 01:30, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

"The basic features of previous Sonic games return; Rail Grinding, Springs, " ? how did spring return in Sonic The Hedgehog? in other Sonic games, it doesn't even have it

Please change it, at the side put, "a new concept has been added which is a spring"

What? What are you talking about? Springs have been in the Sonic Series since the first game. You know, big round things, you touch one and it springs you upwards? They even make a "boing!" sound. Maybe some people call them bumpers, but springs have been an intergral part to the Sonic Franchise ever since it began. It doesn't need to be changed, as it's not a new feature. It is a returning feature. BlazeHedgehog 16:10, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Here is an example of a spring.

BlazeHedgehog 16:14, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

no..not springs, i meant rope, ><ino 21:50, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

But why? That's not really a mechanic worth mentioning; that's probably just a level prop. You might as well edit it to read, "Rocks and grass have been added." The ropes act like springs right now, and the only difference right now is purely visual. If, in the future, ropes are shown in more levels with better mechanics for them, sure. But right now I don't see much of a point. BlazeHedgehog 17:13, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

ok...but still...the ropes an't springs, just the object to get to the next plaform >x<ino 17:33, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

Sonic for Genesis included rumor floating around

I've heard that Sonic Team is adding Sonic 1 (1991) with Sonic the Hedgehog. Need confirmation of that please... Anyone? Renegade Viking

Extremely little information is availiable about this game currently. Most of the basic gameplay mechanics, levels, plot... none of that is known. For Sonicteam to include Sonic 1 in this game at this stage in the game? Likely not true. They might yet put it in there (as that's a trend), but so little is known about the game at this stage, I find it hard to believe Sonicteam would already commit to something like that. BlazeHedgehog 03:50, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

same here the only information containing about the game are listed in this article. sonic hedgehog 1 on next gen sonic is a rumour, but it will be cool to see it because it will be Sega trying to show us the different attitude of speed >x<ino 17:53, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Is there really any point? Sonic 1 is already found in the Mega Collection games, and the next gen systems are all backwards compatible, so they don't need to waste their time trying to emulate it again. -- VederJuda 21:01, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Yeah there is a point. You need to own Sonic Mega Collection or SMC Plus. Sonic the Hedgehog is only 1 MB as a ROM image, and is practically nothing on a DVD. >x<Renegadeviking 2:42, 10 December 2005

That would only be true for the Revolution and PS3 versions. Xbox 360 can't play Sonic Mega Collection Plus! Renegadeviking 6:48, 11 November 2005

The Xbox360 with the hard drive can play it; Microsoft released a list of games that the 360 is backwards compatible with, and I'm guessing that they're not talking about the GameCube's "Sonic Mega Collection". Here's the list -- VederJuda

yop those fools just keep wasting time

remember all that matters is.....SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

>x<ino 21:52, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Above: That equals my stupidity. Here: Yosh, the Shadow game will pwn. THEY DO WASTE TIMEZORZ. LIKE RIGHT NOW. -- Alexie

Nintendo Revolution version

I removed the comment that the Revolution version was likely not revealed because of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA), because it seems that Nintendo has removed the NDA; or at least they relaxed it so that 3rd parties could talk about what games they are developing. I recall a news posting that Sega wasn't announcing any games for the Revolution until they got some more info on the system, such as a final version of the dev kit (an IGN article says 3rd parties are still developing on a modified GameCube dev kit); but since I can't find a link to that particular tidbit, I'm not going to add it to the article. -- VederJuda 18:01, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

I see that the Sonic Revolution rumour has replaced the rumour that Sonic 2006 may or may not be coming to the Revolution; however, the new rumour doesn't say anything about a possible port of this game to the Revolution and that the port won't happen because of a Revolution specific version. Although there is the possibility that the Revolution could get two Sonic games (three if Sonic Riders 2 is considered), I'm not going to bother putting the old one back, one rumour is enough until some more info appears, and only the new one has some kind of "official" source. -- VederJuda 18:10, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes the Gameplay will be different because of the Revolution Pad, it will be like the DS Version, you know the one you use the pen to make SOnic run.

>x<ino 18:35, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
If that was a response to what I said, then you didn't read what I wrote. I was saying that the old rumour (that Sonic 2006 might be coming for the Rev) was removed, and this one (Sonic Revolution) put in its place. What I said was that the new rumor doesn't disprove the old rumour, and that the Revolution might get both Sonic games, Sonic 2006 and Sonic Revolution. Now, if you were implying that the Revolution couldn't do Sonic 2006 because of the Rev controller, the Revolution will have a controller extension that will act like a standard controller; afteral, it'll need it to emulate older SNES and N64 games. I have no doubt that the Revolution specific Sonic game would play differently than the others. -- VederJuda 19:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Couldn't be botherd...ok lets see what you replied:P

The Sonic Next Gen, might not and might come to the Revolution, because Sega doesn't know any tech spec for the Revolution and it isn't because of the pad...and yes i do know there is an extension port. Sonic Revolution is just the achivement to the remote controll. So they can make the control have a special feel to gaming, they want to test it on a speed game which is SOnic....and remember Sega are working for Nintendo, they are producing Sonic Titles to Nintendo System.

That remote idea was also from Zelda, so fans can be like Link,...AKA waving the sword
>x<ino 19:36, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Someone was bold and went ahead and created a Sonic the Hedgehog Revolution article. They have a rumor source, but I'll let someone else sort it out. ~ Hibana 18:02, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Who ever did it, was a suker!

Because Wiki will soon rename it or redirect it to a better name
>x<ino 18:39, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

On a slightly related note, someone added a rumour that Sonic would be in the next Smash Bros game; I deleted it because I felt it didn't belong here since the rumour had less to do with this game and more to do with Smash Bros and Sonic in general. I think the other rumour (about the Revolution Sonic game) is still valid here because that rumour addresses the question that gamers have as to why this game hasn't been announced for the Rev, even though it is still a rumour and doesn't say whether or not the game will hit the Rev, let alone why. -- VederJuda 12:06, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Rumours

All the Rumours displayed at the Rumour section, needs to be reduce...

Because I couldn't even find any rumour about all that

Even most visitors won't even believe them

So...What we need to do now is.
  • Reduce some of the rumours
  • If any rumours are to be added, then a reference to a website should be stated at the end of the rumour
>x<ino 03:27, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

There are just as many rumors as there are facts. Most of the rumors arose when the game was first unveiled. Sites like Gamespot, etc. So far, I haven't seen anything really crazy turn up in the rumors section, so I don't see why it needs to be cleaned up unless it starts to become overkill. BlazeHedgehog 06:50, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes but it will be better if their was a link reference proving that the rumours are real.

Any suker can just make up a rumour.

Because people might actually want to know where the rumours come from

Do your duty! Marines!

>x<ino 18:30, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, it will take a long time for me to find and cite all the sources. BlazeHedgehog 11:05, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Well...that's just starting the fake rumours:P

Just look for forums & fan sites

>x<ino 17:32, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

We're getting too many rumors that have nothing to do with this game, but for other rumoured Sonic games. First there was the rumour that this game might appear on the Revolution, but that was replaced with the IGN rumour that the Rev was getting it's own Sonic game. Now someone has added the rumour about a Sonic Online RPG, which is 6 months old, and has nothing to do with this game. At this point, I think both should go; the second should definitely go, and the first could possibly be changed back to the old rumour, or at least tweaked in someway to show how it relates to this game. -- VederJuda 14:12, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

LOL, my bad:P

I added the second one...what!? I though the news was new:P...DELETE IT

No..leave the first one, it relates to this game

>x<ino 15:15, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Sega's website now seems to call the game "15th Anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog" and even has a new logo for it. Is the new name?

No. It's just "Sonic the Hedgehog". The 15th Anniversary bit is... just to let you know the game is in celebration of Sonic's 15th Anniversary. It's just how the text is arranged. BlazeHedgehog 16:35, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
At the moment Sega is internally calling it Sonic the Hedgehog Next-Gen, although I'm not sure where a good spot would be to add this reference to the article. --DavidHOzAu 07:52, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Release Date

This release date does not make sense because it will be available on PS3, which doesn't come out until November, 5 months later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.116.159.80 (talkcontribs)

Then obviously it won't be out for the PS3 on that date. --Zeno McDohl 01:30, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Duh!
>x<ino 05:10, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Moves

Yes, you are all thinking SOnic can do a break dancing move, similar to Sonic Battle. No that is wrong!

In the demo version, when Sonic attacks the robot. In slow motion: He jumps up, turn into a ball, and pounce to the robot. Once hit, Sonic knocks back, turn out of the ball and back to himself. Without the slow motion, it would seem like Sonic is doing a backflip on the robots.

The break dancing. Have we ever seen Sonic do any other move when attack in his game...NO! Accept for Sonic Battle. But SOnic battle is actually like Sonic Fighters. Where characters battle. That's the whole point. Other than that, Sonic can't use backflip, tornado kick, or breakdancing kick to attack his enemies...

You saw some cheap shots on some magazine...so what? We wait til E3. I say, that should go to the rumour section. Because who knows, when they show Sonic at E3, they might decide to cancel it! :/

>x<ino 11:57, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Dude, you're kind of a jerk. The brilliance of Misplaced Pages is we can add and change stuff as we learn of it. It's not going to kill you to add this and leave it there until we know for certain. Like I said, lighten up - don't be so freakin' up-tight about everything. BlazeHedgehog 20:06, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
It's not a rumor. This is new information from a new article in a magazine. It can come there, too, it doesn't have to be from E3. Heck, that's how we know about the new city stage.
In other words, I concur. Please stop removing this. You're getting very close to the Three Revert Rule, too. --Shadow Hog 20:16, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Dude, you're kind of a jerk Oh I am the jerk...don't worry, keep your words coming, I can take em all and anytime!. But when I start using mine, they start saying, be loyal to other wiki, be civil, blah blah blah, shut da hell up!

The brilliance of Misplaced Pages is we can add and change stuff as we learn of it Yes, that is the brilliance of Wiki, any suker can edit! Even if you can change and add stuff, but still. Wiki is all about facts! Some idiot might just come to this article, read about the move thing, and going around spreading rumours about it. Later someone with a proof will delete the move thing. That is the main thing, Wiki as to be a fact! Will you collapse if you don't wait for E3? Will you die? Did the doctor told you, you got 7 days to live? Is that why you can't wait for E3? Look at the rumour section, most of them need a . That is why I am saying the article needs to be a fact. Because some info came out of some cheap magaizne, you think it's true. What happen to the top websites? IGN, Gamespot and 1up?

If we are still in January and E3 is at May, then you can add the move thing. But for f*king God sake, E3 is at f*king 7/6 days left! Wait till 6/7 days, then all information will be flowing in. After E3 or during E3. Every wiki editor will be busy, cuz of the info they will be getting in! And my friend, it seems you are just to exicted for this damn game, calm down! You don't even have a next gen console yet, not even the damn game isn't even release yet!

It's not going to kill you to add this and leave it there until we know for certain That is what I am saying, someone can just come in, see that info and get it mixed up. Some might just put a fact tag or clean up tag. That is also the main problem, if you keep a false info there, people might think it is correct. Like wat we are arguing about the move thing now. Visitors might just think Wiki is full of fake info, and anyone can edit. I already know some people who are already taking Wiki as a fake false website! This is why I need wiki to be fact all the time. People like you are the one giving this site bad critics and names:/

It can come there, too, it doesn't have to be from E3. Heck, that's how we know about the new city stage.Look who is talking...Why da hell doesn't that move information thing be at E3? You 2 are just too freaking exicted. Wait till E3!

Heck, that's how we know about the new city stage.Sure...as if that City Stage, might even be in the game. You seem to be forgetting, it is just a demonstration, and also for the Havok Engine show. You think the level shown at TGS, will be in the final game!? That is a damn demo, just like this one!

Beside, that picture showing Sonic doing the break dancing. To me, it doesn't look like a break dancing move, he does look like he is sliding under that robots tenicle or also Sonic is giving some robot (as the camera) a boot kick! Again the thing says: BREAKDANCE FIGTHING Sonic's got some new moves to spice up combat. That is what it says! The word BREAKDANCE FIGHTING. Do you think that is the name of the move? It is not. It is just called that to make it feel like that. You don't even know about adversiting and newspapers. Not as if you even read one:/

Let me explain that section to you: BREAKDANCE FIGHTING, is just to attract gamers like you, into thinking there might be a breakdancing fighting in the game. But that was to attract, call out and get your attention! Now the main details is Sonic having some new cool moves, not just the bouce attack. You can see the move, in this mag . And if you think the wall walking is a move, it isn't! And the top page pic looks like the "so called breakdancing move"...but that looks like a kicking move to me. the top big picture. Does that look like Sonic doing a breakdancing? NO! Sonic is doing a slide attack! And when it says Sonic got some new moves to spice up combat...which means he also has other cool moves!

You're getting very close to the Three Revert Rule, too Do you really think I give a damn!? I said, wait till E3...so we can comfirm this! Plain and simple!

>x<ino 00:36, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

We don't need to wait until E3! This is Misplaced Pages! We can edit it into the article now, and then, when E3 comes, if it's different than we thought, we can change it then, too! And right now, that's what ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR PLAYSTATION MAGAZINES IN THE UNITED STATES says. I've seen you editing other Sonic articles and you're really pushy. You're doing the same thing right now. Take it easy, and remember that other people maintain these articles, too. Don't drink so much caffine, or something. Right now, it's two against one on this issue. Chill out. You're not the only Sonic fan on the face of this planet. BlazeHedgehog 05:18, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

We don't need to wait until E3! Why not? You will die if you wait for E3?

Even the damn Wii article is now even lock, cuz of the damn name, even they agreed to wait for E3. Most articles are waiting E3 Comfirmation details. Why can't this article wait?

It doesn't matter if anyone can edit anything. Misplaced Pages as to be about facts! If you add a wrong info, then you know you will be reverted!. That is what I am doing now! And I am trying to prove to you, it might not be called breakdancing kick! That was just the name of the attracting! Or it might be Breakdancing. Alot of people don't beleive IGN news, that is why the Sonic Next Gen (Revolution) Wii, is at the rumour section. Which I believe it s true. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

And right now, that's what ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR PLAYSTATION MAGAZINES IN THE UNITED STATES says And are we even suppose to upload images of scanned magazines!? Remember magazines policy, TOS, Code of Conduct and Copyright. You think they will allow us to post images of their scans? People will be looking at it without paying for it. That is why that method is not allowed in forums and such! Yes, it might be in PS3 magazines, is it in the top websites!? 1up, Gamespot? IGN? Did PS magazine comfirmed the name of the move? Or did they fight it in a facy way?

I've seen you editing other Sonic articles and you're really pushy. How many!? Want me to list them and explain them?

Shadow the Hedgehog: I did many reverts and such. I added the damn Super Shadow section, which as been contansly been vandalised! I even posted the notes that person kept on adding, at the Talk Page, why those details are all false! But still kept on going in there. Now that is vandalism! Yes I did say I will ban that editor, cuz he needed it! I directed him to the Talk Page to see why the details are wrong!

Sonic Heroes: no problem in this article, cuz fAnb0ys dislike this game, that is why it an't being constanly vandaled!

Shadow the Hedgehog video game: I mostly got this article way better than before! Someone came in and did some @ss clean up, cleaning off most of the details. leaving it worthless. This article was also been vandal constanly, cuz fanboys love this game too much!

You're doing the same thing right nowBecause I am here, reverting a cheap edit. Where 2 editors believe something is right because they saw it in a magazine...Where I am trying to comfirm to you it might be a breakdancing move and might not be. WAIT TILL E3! Also I am trying to tell you, we can't add any information, and wait, till it as been comfirmed. Becasue it will just be reverted and that is what I am doing!

Right now, it's two against one on this issueAnd what does that mean, look suker, I can take out any suker anyday!

I am a Sonic Fan, but not a fanboy like you or a crazy Sonic fan. I just like him, and better than Mario. Plan and Simple. I don't cooperate with fanboys!

Stop being such a control freak. YOU aren't going to die if the majority (that is, two against one) decides AGAINST what you want. Misplaced Pages isn't about the individual, it's about the group as a whole - something you are on the wrong end of right now. Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia that documents all the latest information AS IT HAPPENS. That does not mean waiting a week for E3. That means adding the information as we find it, and we found it. Get your head out of your ass, sit down, and shut up. BlazeHedgehog 09:44, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Stop being such a control freak Control freak!? it would be better if you said "freak sh*t!":P.

YOU aren't going to die if the majority (that is, two against one) decides AGAINST what you want Decideds!? I can get alot of people and we all vote! That is how I normally get rid of my problems. You fools are just first class wikis:/

Misplaced Pages isn't about the individual, it's about the group as a whole Why won't you cooperate?

something you are on the wrong end of right now Sorry suker, I know what I am doing!

Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia that documents all the latest information AS IT HAPPENSEh WRONG! That is not what an encyclopedia, encyclopeida is a gathering of all information into one, and connection. Also manages the history! If wiki is an encylcopedia, then it to follow that rule! And being a informaiton as it happens. Is not true! Wiki articles just get updated, because of the changes made. Like I said before, Wiki is about FACT! Something as been changed, an article must need an update to be correct!

That does not mean waiting a week for E3. That means adding the information as we find itEven adding the information, you 2 fools don't even understand that so called magazine!

Get your head out of your ass, sit down, and shut upYou are really really testing me, but I will just allow you...cuz you are not worth it!

By the way, info's have changed! And I have proved you two fools wrong! I even explained about the magazine description, that it is to attract the user!

OWNED!

>x<ino 15:25, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

You are not the person who can say what information is right and what information is wrong. You are not the police, and you do not own this article. It is not yours. You are insulting, loud-mouthed, pushy and you don't speak english very well - until you GET those votes to change the article to the way you want it, right now it is Me & Shadow Hog against you. If you're going to be a jerk and changing this crap to whatever you want and I feel you're stepping out of line, I'm going to change it back for as long as Misplaced Pages allows me to. It's as simple as that. We can work together just fine as long as you DON'T flip out when somebody adds in information from A RESPECTABLE SOURCE. BlazeHedgehog 22:08, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Cleaning Up

Since IGN came up with fact details and clearifity! unlike the cheap magazine. People have added some info, and I am clearing them

I have added why I am clearing the information. And please do not revert unless you disagree with me, just state why and then revert!:

  • There are at least two levels in the game - one is a grassy ruin, while the other is a decaying city reminiscent of Westopolis from Shadow the Hedgehog, the damage likely caused by Doctor Eggman's invading robot army. First of all, you kept on redirecting the user to a refernce, when there are about 3 links, one of the link doesn't work! Second, create a Stage Section! It won't kill! We don't need to know about the grassy ruins and Westopolis like stage. What is the point of adding it when you dont even know both damn names! Again, those stages might not be in the final game, because that video shown was a demo.
  • The detail level and draw distance have been upped considerably. In the demo, Sonic was seen running around fields, forests and canyons that seemed to go on for miles in every direction. High-res textures everywhere and surround Sonic. Each blade of grass is drawn as a single object. This is a weak edit, but I won't bother doing anything to it. Because DUH! IT is a Next gen Game!
  • A Day/Night cycle has been implemented. As the player progress through the game, time slowly changes from dawn, noon, dusk, night time, and back to dawn again in real-time. Everything in the game casts shadows based on the position of the sun or moon.
  • The basic features of previous Sonic games return; Rail Grinding, Springs, Dash Plates and the Homing Attack were all shown in the Demo. It is unknown how much this move set will be changed for the future.Do you mean moves or move. I almost forgot, when I started adding the details about the know features, which I called Concepts before, I was saying there is a new gameplay thing added, some spring thing. But then again, you all act as if you knew it all. Scroll up and see for yourself!
  • New moves have been added, including a sliding kick, and Shinobi-style wall running. No the sliding Kick isn't really new, because that as been used in Sonic Heroes, but it is new, because in Sonic Heroes. Knuckles and Tails held on to SOnic's back, while SOnic did the slide kick (breakdancing), but in this game Sonic does it alone which makes it new:/. Shinobi Style isn't the official name. IGN just used that word, because that is like a symbol of how ninja runs. Once again, That shinobi style isn't new, because it as been used in Sonic Adventure!
  • Yuji Naka has stated that this game will capture the most realistic sensation of speed ever, a feature only possible on Next-Generation Systems. This could be seen as a parallel to how NiGHTS Into Dreams was designed: capturing sensation of flight. If this is added, why can't it be fused with the second bullet point!?
  • The Havok Physics Engine has been implemented, giving robots and debris realistic physics as objects crumble, fall and bounce around the playing field.Needs to be moved up along with the second bulletpoint!
  • In previous Sonic Titles, character models were constructed with about 1,500 polygons. While still in debate over the validity of the claim, a recent issue of Gamepro said that player models in this game will be composed of over 1 million polygons each.
  • By default, the camera is closer to Sonic, and lower to the ground than the previous Sonic games, to help emphasize the sensation of speed.
  • Gameplay is broken up into two gameplay styles, similiar to the original Sonic Adventure: Action Stage and Adventure Field. Action Stages are primarily where the bulk of the gameplay takes place, whereas Adventure Fields are free-roaming locations where the player can talk to NPCs and explore.

This is not fully comfirmed yet! The name Action Stage & Adventure an't the name! And NPC's? Please use full text!

  • Sonic is now much taller than he was before; nearly the size of a real human being. That isn't nesscceary, you can atleast put the info in his own autobiography article! Atleast if you are stating that, put the damn actual size!

From this edit, I can see how non flawless you two's edits are! And you edit like a first class editor! Reading notes from certain websites, always get you two confused! Because IGN ued the word "Shinobi", you 2 believe them!? How can you believe them. Also they didnt even know the grinding rail name! Calling it skatboard.

If you dissapprove with the edits I have made, please state your reasons here!

Iblis

"Islamic devil of the same name/Iblis". Is this right!? But why would Sonic be the devil!? Sonic is good...

I am thinking the Iblis might just be something different, because Sonic universe doesn't truly relate to this world. For an example Emeralds! So I say, we remove the link first, and wait for E3.
