Word
Unji is a Korean word used by many people. The word originated from a slang but it is now used widely throughout the Korean society.
The underlying meaning of Unji is described below in the 'Meaning' section.
Meaning
Often used in satiric or facetious manners, "Unji" refers to the following meanings:
1. (vi) To physically fall down from high grounds. ex) He unjied from a cliff.

4. (n) The act of (2).
History
The etymology of the word 'Unji' goes far back in history. Back in the days when the energy drink called Unji Chun was advertising its product, the word Unji finally appeared to the general public.
Unji came to define the action of falling from the position of high altitudes, when the protagonist of the advertisement shouted the word as he fell from a mountain cliff.
However, the word was soon forgotten and remained under the concern of the public until it resurfaced as one of the most popular slangs of the 21st century.
The word 'Unji' was revived from its decades long hiatus, when S.Korea's former president, Roh-Mu Hyeon (aka Roh Unji), committed suicide by falling off an Owl Rock in his hometown of Bong-ha.
