Christopher P. Lynch is an entrepreneur and investor based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Chris Lynch is currently a partner at Atlas Venture where he invested in sqrrl and Hadapt. He co-founded hack/reduce, a Boston-based Big Data incubator in May 2012.

Previously, Lynch served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett-Packard's Database Business Unit, a role he took after the HP's acquisition by HP of Vertica Systems in February 2011.

Prior to his time at HP, Lynch was Senior Vice President of Data Solutions at F5 Networks, and CEO at Acopia Networks 2002 until the company was acquired by F5 Networks in September 2007. At Cisco Systems, he was Vice President of Worldwide Content Delivery Networking, and he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Support for ArrowPoint Communications, where he was instrumental in ArrowPoint’s initial public offering. ArrowPoint was subsequently acquired by Cisco Systems for $5.7 billion in June 2000.

At Lucent Technologies, he was Vice President of North and South American sales for the Gigabit Ethernet Products Unit, , before that, he was Vice President of American Sales at Prominet, where he built a sales and channels organization that generated revenue at an annual rate of $40 million over a seven-month period, which led to the company's acquisition by Lucent Technologies for $200 million in January 1998. Lynch also held sales leadership positions at Bay Networks, Wellfleet Communications, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Lynch earned his MBA from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in 1991 and his bachelor’s degree in business management from Suffolk University in 1986. In 2011, Mr. Lynch received an honorary doctor of commercial science degree from Bentley University, and had the opportunity to address the graduates during the commencement ceremony.

Lynch also invested in various start-up companies, including PowerInBox and Kinvey.
