Questions, comments, thoughts, complaints? (last blanked 3/22/06)
Reply to comments on my talk page + suggestion
In case you missed it, see this comment of mine
I should also mention that you have now violated the arbcom's decision a total of 6 times, meaning that the next time you do (and every time thereafter), any admin will be fully within his/her rights to block you for up to a full year. So when making comments, you should probably err on the side of caution, as you are now playing without a net. Raul654 22:53, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Help with deletion page Afd
Hi I noticed that you are fair minded. I dont expect you to agree with me on the Jeremiah Duggan page, but the last time I tried to delete that page wikipedia policy was violated by slimvirgin and I was blocked. Could you help me or point me to a direction in case this happens again. I was known formely as IAMthatIAM - thank you. --IAMwhatsIAM 07:16, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
We Belong Together issues
Sorry if I caused you any harm on Misplaced Pages talk:Featured article candidates. You are right though, it should not be solely up to Bishonen to make such a "ban" (actually, is she even allowed to?). I'd like to say that I think your Arbcom ruling is complete nonsense since you are a good-faith editor, from what I've seen. Again, sorry. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:14, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- You blanked your page the last time I asked to speak with you off of Misplaced Pages, but I believe that you may have not caught it. Would you be willing to talk with me somewhere that others are not familiar with? Perhaps you access an e-mail? —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:19, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- I used to have an e-mail here, I don't know if it still works. I'll check on it. Everyking 23:21, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- You'll check on it? How amusing! —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like I just ruined my wikilink joke by fixing it thrice. You can blame Misplaced Pages's pathetic usage of links. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:50, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

following my post in jimbo talk page you wrote * i bet somebody would piss in your coffee* what do you mean by that?. would you explain to me? im weak in english.i want remenber you. the post i wrote as headline like newcomer suggestion. i think that i adore this website but is time to make profitable like yahoo or google in order to create jobs to sustain those who work for.i have seen many students dammaging their estudies, jobless spending their time in order to contribute to wikipedia now is the time to wikipedia give something back to them by turning to a profit website. would you tell me wich are your arguments i want to hear. user:felisberto17:5023march2006(utc)
- That was a joke. It refers to the fact that many Wikipedians get along very poorly. Everyking 19:22, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Canadian sales figures request
Although you may have not been the one who located them, I am aware that you worked on Autobiography (Ashlee Simpson album). I am trying to promote Supernature (Goldfrapp album) to featured article status and would truly appreciate it if you attempted to help me find the sales for the album in Canada. Considering the album has only reached #88 on the Canadian charts, it isn't going to be easy, but perhaps it would be possible to consult one of the notes/references you featured in the Autobiography article? —Eternal Equinox | talk 03:21, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

User who has been Banned
I see that your an administrator. I commend you for sticking up for the little guy who has no recourse when administrators abuse their privileges. Read your comment on Slimvirgin's page. I concur with you. Read my comments on my talk page about a possible solution to prevent wikipedia from becoming an anti-whatever crusade against individuals because of their affiliation. I would like your opinion on this. I feel Arbcom made a major mistake in their rulings unleashing a 'jihad' against persons whether they belong or not; who cross the paths of individual editors out on a hunt for suspects they assume are guilty without the due process so necessary in free discourse and editing. Misplaced Pages is suppose to be free for anyone to edit, but with the use of Arbcom rulings by Administrators against HK, I see that this is not entirely true. Who watches the administrators? In America, we have a Congress to check the power of the President, and a Supreme Court to check the power of Congress - in other words a balance of power to not allow anyone to become a dictator to steal the rights of citizens for their own crusades and purposes - to prevent witch-hunts. This worked in the 1950's after Eisenhower condemned the 'book burners' engaged in McCarthyism. It also worked in the 1970's when Nixon abused his powers and Congress called him to task, forcing his resignation. Who can HK address for a rectitude of grievances? I want to second your statement on Slimvirgin's page and officially ask that you lift the block or ban on HK in lieu of administrator abuse, and that you make these actions of their's known to other administrators. Thanks. --Northmeister 00:54, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Situation of administrator abuse
Hi, I'm in a potentially awkward position with an Administrator. I have read the Wiki pages on dispute resolution but I'm still not sure how to proceed.
The Admin ContiE has a personal grudge against me for reasons I do not fully understand. He has been this way since I began frequenting wikipedia.
I have done work improving the furvert article. He has basically gone on a crusade against any edit I make. He controls every furry category article and several others ruthlessly. He is an iron fist and bans anyone he edit wars with. I had uploaded pictures and he deleted them with no talking. He seems to believe I am every person he has had an edit war against. He is always using personal attacks, calling me troll without reason. I uploaded them again and he voted them for deleted, but to his surprise the person who runs the images, thank you Nv8200p, found they were acceptable once I tagged them properly. Just recently he removed both the images without himself discussing it in the talk page (unless he was the same person who discussed only one) with the edit here Then ContiE assumed bad faith, added his constant insult of troll in the talk page. It appears on a completed different wiki, a comedy one in all things, somebody else stole my username and I believe this was Conti himself and uploaded them. ContiE showed it as his reason. While vandalism like his, I would revert and mention it, he would ban me permanently if I undid his edit. That is why I am asking admins for help. He holds a couple of accounts on wikipedia and I think they are administrators so I have to be careful who I tell about this. Arights 06:31, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

The response to your comment on FAC regrarding the DNA Resequencer
The following is posted here and on the nomination page. If you wish to reply, it would be better to reply there.
Thanks for the comments. Ill try and fix the typo. I have always found it difficult to find sources with inline citations. Therefore, in this article, I found it prudent to have the text indicate which source it was refering to, rather than putting notes. I think that that improves quality and usefulness even more. Ill now lengthen the lead. In a few minutes it will be fixed. Also, Everyking, do you support or oppose? Tobyk777 05:09, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Response to your second comment
- I compeletly agree. I especialy hate it when the deletionist has totaly invalid reasons like this one. This vote was probably a from a guy who has some sort of bias agaisn't the show. Tobyk777 05:45, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp PR
Hello there! I remember seeing you contribute to various Holocaust-related articles. I have recently expanded the article on Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp and asked for a peer review. I thought you might want to take a look at the article and perhaps improve it or tell me what's missing. //Halibutt 00:03, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
We agree
I'm in perfect agreement with you on this:
- If you wanted to sum it up neatly, they are concerned that focus is drifting away from the encyclopedia and that user pages are growing beyond a purely utilitarian purpose, that new users are approaching with a MySpace mindset and the community is harmfully being molded in that shape.
That is exactly what we're concerned about. Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia. --Cyde Weys 00:18, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

DNA Resequencer
Hi, I know that everyone hated it the last time I nominated this article on FAC, however in the last 2 days, I have made 'imense, tremendous, stupnedous, and enorumous upgrades to the page. I think that I have fixed every problem that was found with it. Do you think it is ready to become an FA. You were kind of neutral the last time, so I want to see what you think. If you remember this reversion you did, the perosn who made that edit was not a vandal but instead, Jason Bradbury, host of The Gadget Show! You and I
Re your comments about me. Whom have I bullied? What POV have I pushed? BruceHallman has gone through my entire history at Misplaced Pages and dragged out every hostile comment about me ever made by anyone. He has come up with a farrago of complaints from the various communists, LaRouchites, Polish nationalists, cranks and vandals with whom I have had disputes over the last 2.5 years. I don't deny that I have had many such disputes - that's because I edit on contentious issues, because I know what I am talking about and because I insist on articles telling the truth, something many people who edit at Misplaced Pages don't like. In nearly all of these issues I have been supported by the majority of other editors who have become involved, and several of these people (Herschelkrustofsky, Skyring) have eventually been banned. I deny ever having bullied anyone, and I resent this allegation. I have only used strong language against people who have already shown themselves to be enemies of the truth and of writing encyclopaedic articles. The current dispute over Cuba is a classic example. I also deny pushing any particular POV, other than the one that articles should tell the truth. I'm sorry if you don't like this. Adam 11:54, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Am I going to get answers to the questions I asked you above? I guess not. You have a history of making accusations against me and then not backing them up when challenged. I have been waiting more than two months for you to answer my questions at Talk:Robert Conquest. Adam 12:01, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Article:Leonardo Da Vinci.
Hi Everyking. I have something to tell you, but sorry to bother you about this problem. This problem is about vandalism. Because Article Leonardo Da Vinci has been vandalized many many times, and they still erased all of article. So, I want that the article Leonardo Da vinci article would be protected article. So, Could you explain to me how to change the article into protective article? Daniel5127, 00:51, 1 May 2006(UTC)
Leonardo Da Vinci
Hi, Everyking. It's me. The article Leonardo Da Vinci has been vandalized many times. Let me show How article was vandalized. The article has been vandalized like this. . Could you see that this is vandalisms? I think that article Leonardo Da Vinci must be protected pages for editors because of recent vandalisms. Daniel5127, 00:37, 2 May 2006(UTC)
Excuseme.
I sent you about the article Leonardo Da Vinci was vandalized yesterday. Ahh, Please Do not ignore other Wikipedian's request. Please, Response on my talk page. Daniel5127, 04:18, 3 May 2006(UTC)
No.
I mean ArticleLeonardo Da Vinci must be protected. Because of recent vandalism. Ahh, Did you see the article that showed you yesterday how article was vandalized? I hope you can give him or her last warning for vandalism. If He/She does it again, He/she will be blocked out of Editing for one day. Daniel5127, 04:23, 3 May 2006(UTC)
Your note to Cognition
James, for the hundredth time, do not comment, directly or indirectly, on any issue that Phil is involved in, and particularly not on any of his admin actions. And before you start wikilawyering, I could have blocked you for that comment, so don't make me regret not doing so, because I could still change my mind. SlimVirgin 03:57, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- If you find yourself in a situation where it's "ridiculously difficult" for you to figure out how to word a comment while staying within the lines, it means you're in danger of straying outside the lines, so refrain. And I am not putting you in any situation. You are putting yourself there. Don't do it again, and don't reply to this with another excuse. SlimVirgin 04:30, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Request for Comments on Current events
Hello Everyking –
I'm trying to get some discussion going on two proposals regarding the current events page, but so far have gotten little to no response. Since you have recently edited the current events page, I'm asking for your input on these two proposals:
- One proposal (this is the big one) involves putting the daily events from the current events pages into article-templates, a lá the monthly pages from 2003 to 2005, as well and having a consistent number of recent days on the current events page instead of a monthly archive. This would allow for the current events page and the respective month pages to be updated simultaneously without the monthly archival. For more, see the current events talk page.
- Another proposal involves merging the content of the regional current events pages (such as British and Irish current events and Canadian current events) into fewer continental articles. For more, see the current events WikiProject talk page.
Your input on one or both of these issues would be appreciated. joturner 17:31, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Jen Reed
I came to the Jen Reed page at the same time as you, I'd imagine, through RC patrol. While the article certainly warrented SD, I hope that you will leave comments on the editor's talk page. The page certainly was a good faith article, in that it contained no personal attacks, etc. Maybe I'm out of line, and this view is completely out of the mainstream, but welcoming our new editors, rather than deleting their work without any notice seems to go against WP:DBN. Thanks for your time. ••\\/\//esleyPinkha//\/\\•• 05:13, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Your summary in the deletion log certainly explains why it was deleted. However, the use of WikiSlang may confuse the editor.. Any way you can pick out the editor/(I think he edited via an IP as well..) so that I can make a quick mention of what happened to his page and some other places he might find interesting? ••\\/\//esleyPinkha//\/\\•• 05:19, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I've recently seen quite a few noobies get their pages deleted and received no form of communication. As a result, they have pre-maturely left the project. Who knows what kind of editors they may've made and it's a shame for them not to have that chance to grow. Thanks for understanding. ••\\/\//esleyPinkha//\/\\•• 05:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC) I'm gonna copy the whole of this convo into my talk page as well..
