Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (born August 12, 1983 in Drempt, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a striker for Ajax Amsterdam. He is seen as a rising star in Dutch football, having scored over 33 goals in his first full season in the Eredivisie.
Ajax paid €9 million for the striker, which some see as too much for a player so young. Having scored 40 goals in total in the 2005-06 season, he is expected to finish in fourth place in the European Golden Boot but has been overlooked for Marco Van Basten's 2006 FIFA World Cup squad.
