In regard to your comment at WP:AN: I respectfully remind you that comments in regard to what a user is are incivil and personally attacking and do not help the situation. Personal attacks are never acceptable anywhere.
Please do not make personal attacks on other people. Misplaced Pages has a policy against personal attacks. In some cases, users who engage in personal attacks may be blocked from editing by admins or banned by the arbitration committee. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Please resolve disputes appropriately. Thank you. — Nathan 09:27, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- I read your talk page. You were being a twat. If you would prefer I state it in different terms, fine: you were acting like a twat. Now stop lecturing me about policy. I know what I'm talking about, and you don't. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 09:29, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Phil, please don't call him names. Thanks. -- Samir धर्म 09:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Who the fuck asked you to come to my talk page? I really like being lectured by clueless newbies. Go find yourself a better hobby. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 09:54, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Could you please be civil? And btw, I don't know how you define "clueless" but by no definition can someone who has been editing since mid-2005 be called a newbie. As I'm also an admin, I think I am qualified to "lecture" on "your" talkpage. If someone doesn't know about what you're talking, it'd be worthwhile to explain rather than call him/her a twat. From one admin to another --Gurubrahma 10:22, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- He didn't reach 50 edits until this January. In any case, you have no idea what is going on in this situation and I kindly advise you to either better inform yourself or leave the matter alone. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 10:24, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't want to be drawn into an argument or discussion with you any further but please note that losing cool and calling names isn't acceptable under any circumstance. Unlike real world, you have the option of responding later after regaining your cool, so why not do that? Also, as I indicated above, it'd be better if you can provide diffs or a write-up on what happened rather than rubbing everyone on the wrong side. TIA, --Gurubrahma 10:31, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Nathan, Tony Sidaway, and myself were all in full knowledge of the situation in question here. You, on the other hand, are not, although if you review the administrator's noticeboard and the talk pages of the principals involved here (Nathan and Cyde, mainly), you may reach a fuller understanding. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 10:33, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

- (after two edit conflicts) As another admin I will also point out that your above comment was completely unacceptable- it doesn't matter what the situation was, nothing justifies it. Anyone, especially an uninvolved admin, is entitled to point that out. I'm sure you are aware of WP:NPA, WP:CIVIL, WP:EQ, WP:BITE etc, so please follow them. Petros471 10:36, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Your opinion has been taken into consideration. Now please kindly leave me alone. — Phil Welch (t) (c) 10:37, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Wheel warring
Thanks for informing me of the proposed policy, Phil. I'll wait for consensus to evolve. -- Sundar 10:57, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
