Junip is a Swedish band featuring Elias Araya, Tobias Winterkorn, and José González. They released Black Refuge EP at the end of 2005. After a five year hiatus, the band released Fields on September 14, 2010.
On December 12, 2012 the band announced the release of the new self titled album in April 2013.
New material was premièred during the Junip concert in Dortmund, Germany in May 2012. The German online newspaper Intro.de reported: They saved on song announcements, except for when they presented exclusive song material (>>Line of Fire<<) from the upcoming album.

Other releases
Junip has released several singles. "Carsick" was released on the album Money Talks: A Tribute to The Bear Quartet in 2006. Two other songs, "Chickens" and "HC", are not yet available in wide release.
