Nidhi Razdan (Template:Lang-ks) is a television journalist at NDTV 24x7, an English language television network that carries news and current affairs in India, owned by New Delhi Television Ltd.

Early life

Her father, Maharaj Krishan Razdan, is the Editor in Chief of the Press Trust of India, India's premier news agency. She did her schooling from APEEJAY School, Sheikh Sarai, New Delhi and graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and later pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.

Career

Razdan joined NDTV in 1999 and has since grown from being a news anchor to a senior journalist.

She anchors the following shows on NDTV;

  • NDTV 24x7 - a prime time news show
  • Her popular programme 'Left, Right & Centre used to air only on Friday at 10.00 pm is now being aired everyday from Monday to Thursday at 8.00 pm. This is a programme combining debate and discussions.
  • The Lead - a daily news show which previously aired has now become defunct.

As a reporter, Nidhi has covered national politics and Kashmir affairs and now focuses mainly on foreign affairs. Her work includes documentaries from Tibet, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), Iran, and the effects of Terrorism on Britain.

Awards

  • Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism for reporting from Jammu and Kashmir and north-eastern India
  • The Jammu and Kashmir State government award for excellence in journalism
