Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (born August 12, 1983 in Drempt, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a striker for Ajax Amsterdam. He is seen as a rising star in Dutch football, having scored 33 goals in his first full season in the Eredivisie.

Ajax paid 9 million for the striker, which some see as too much for a player so young. Having scored 40 goals in total in the 2005-06 season, he is expected to finish in fourth place in the European Golden Boot. Huntelaar was not chosen for the Dutch team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, despite being in the preliminary squad.
