Good work, you just won. You hypocritically approached me with your kindness and your soft talk about Misplaced Pages rules, and then you threw your hound dogs at me so you could hide the atrocities made by your people in the past, and silence the truth behind my edits. This place sucks, and it's because of people like you. Maybe I should have uploaded a pretty picture of myself and made some friends around, and then I could have stood against your attempts of whitewashing criminal actions of your ancestors. But I'm not fond of losing time, so you win. Sooner or later, the truth always comes out. Goodbye. ] 23:55, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

UPA

Congratulations, Phaedriel! Your user page has been nominated for the Esperanza User Page Award! Five judges will look over your user page and award it 1-10 points in four categories:

  • Attractiveness: general layout, considering colour scheme and/or use of tables if applicable
  • Usefulness: links to subpages or editing aids, helpful information
  • Interesting-ness: quirky, unique, captivating, or funny content
  • General niceness: at the judges' discretion

But first, you must be chosen as a finalist. If your user page is chosen as one of the five finalists, you'll have the chance to win an award created just for having a great user page!

More information can be found on this page.

KnowledgeOfSelf 12:30, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, it seems the two of us are those finalists with rather lengthy user pages (text-wise), so we'll probably appeal to the same kind of taste, I s'pose... =] Having said that, I wish you the best of luck! —Nightstallion (?) 11:51, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Aww, that's wonderful news, NS! Thanks for the luck wishes; I really think you deserve to win tho, since you've performed an awesome work with your userpage, way beyond the minor help I could provide. Hugz hugz! Phædriel - 11:42, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
You're sweet. =] Thanks, and good luck once more! —Nightstallion (?) 11:50, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

You've won the UPA!

Congratulations Phaedriel! It is our honor to inform you that you've won Esperanza's Best User Page Award! Here's a token for your efforts.

KnowledgeOfSelf 22:12, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Here is the actual award, add it to your list of barnstars!
Congratulations! —Nightstallion (?) 10:00, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

Hey Phaedriel, how is it going? Thank you for supporting my Request for adminship! It passed with a final vote of 73/1/1, which means that I have been granted adminship! I look forward to using these tools to enhance and maintain this wonderful site. I will continue regular article/project contributions, but I will also allocate a sizable portion of my wikischedule toward administrative duties :) Thanks again, and if you have any questions/comments/tips, please let me know! — Deckiller 04:53, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

User and talk page design

Your User and talk page design which is in use on kingboyk's user and talk pages really caught my eye, and I've taken a liking to it. It looks simple, yet excellent, and it's not overdone. I asked kingboyk about it and he said it should be fine for me to use it as well, but to also run it by you. I've put it on my pages already, but if it's a problem, I can take it out. Thanks. tv316 09:51, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

In the last few hours, I've completely redone my page to try and make it more presentable. I've looked at some of your previous User page work linked from your User page and your opinion would really mean a lot to me on this. If you have the time, what do you think is good about my page, what needs to go, what's missing, and do you have any suggestions for making it less bland? Thank you for any help you can provide. tv316 11:36, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
You complained once that I didn't give you much to work with. What do you think with what I've done with it?
brenneman 12:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

legit content?

There is a user with sockpuppet accounts who has an interest in creating articles on Native American culture (the content may or may not be nonsense). See the notice I posted here. I have no idea if an article like Deverbal noun is nonsense or not. Would you know? NoSeptember 14:12, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I saw the above article and thought of you (in the nicest possible way of course). You're quiet again - I hope you're ok and that your injury is healing well. We fan boys miss you so you'd be better back soon! :P --kingboyk 15:20, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

    • I love this page layout style but it has one issue, that images sometimes trail off the bottom or out of the boxes they're placed in... I tried to move the fairy around so it would not, but it leaks out no matter what I did. (for me on Firefox 1.5 anyway). I left it in the thumb box, maybe someone else will have better luck? ++Lar: t/c 20:19, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
    • I think the transparent gif looks better without the thumb. —This unsigned comment was added by Wikiwizzy (talkcontribs) .
    • There's a certain irony, I think, in that WikiFairies is really quite an unattractive page. It could do with a splash of colour, don't you think? :) --kingboyk 21:49, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

    • Well sure, now that you chatterboxes blabbed up a storm and made the page longer it's not leaking off the bottom any more. Here's another copy so you all know I'm not just on dope. (er, can I say "dope" around a peace officer??) ++Lar: t/c 22:13, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Evil Userpage

Hi there,

My userpage has decided to be evil and not let me add an infobox and WikiDEFCON properly.. It would be much appreciated if you could fix it... pretty please... with sugar on top?

Thanks, Werdna648/C\ 12:53, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Please help!!!!

I know I haven't spoken to you in a while, but I really need your help. One of my subpages (User:Spawn Man/Reviews) has been picked out by a big time editor & is now up for deletion here, Misplaced Pages:Miscellany for deletion/User:Spawn Man/Reviews. I know it may sound like I only come around when I need something, but this is really important to me. I only did this as a last resort. Please vote to keep the page & I'll do anything, eat your shoes, clean your toilets for a year, even wear one of those t shirts that say I'm stupid! I just want my page which I've spent so much time on to be left alone. Thanks, Spawn Man 01:12, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Forget-me-nots in award for displaying simple truths and love

Well, I ran into your name on a deletion page, where you were accused of getting away with a long user page and adminship cause you posted pretty pictures of yourself and whatnot. Reading through your page, I ran into your piece on Wikilove and was absolutely stunned. Such an articulate, wonderful piece of writing that exemplifies a certain kindness/inner beauty. Anyway, I had trouble finding some sort of award to give you, since you seem to have scooped most of them up. I eventually settle on my state's flower, and am giving it to you for great accomplishments in wikilove, as well as the hope that you may squeeze a redesign of my userpage in :) -M 03:25, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

From the Coordinators

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Military history WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this new format will help members—especially those who may be unable to keep up with some of the rapid developments that tend to occur—find new groups and programs within the project that they may wish to participate in.

Please consider this inital issue to be a prototype; as always, any comments and suggestions are quite welcome, and will help us improve the newsletter in the coming months.

Hi and Thanks for the props

Hi; thanks for your note. Kinda burning out on it for today as every time I turn over a stone I find twenty more (e.g. at Algonquian languages there's another 20 or 30 that have to be listed yet). Started out working my way through the part of the map I know about; got seduced by trying to be as complete as possible, so wound up exploring continent-wide. I'm not First Nations/Native American but lived a long while at various times in native communities (see http://www.cayoosh.net); but basically there's nothing my obsessive-compulsive mind likes better as a way to waste time is to make up lists, connect/link them, and otherwise waste my grey cells.....the alternative is to play music (e.g. http://www.myspace.com/tamanasstyee or at http://www.cayoosh.net/music/Skookum1 22:24, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Don't need more admins

I just think there are too many admins out there who abuse their powers, and so we need a sort of Request for removal of Admins or something before we have more. Ardenn 23:21, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Hiya!

Hi Phaedriel! I'm glad to see that you're still editing. I'm touched by your little shrine to those who left Misplaced Pages, but am shocked I'm not at the top of list!! ;) Anyway, you can remove me from that list cause I've returned from my anti-wiki adventure & am now editing once again. Thanks for the thought, Spawn Man 23:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC).

My user page

Can you help me make a better user page? What I got now isn't working, and my previous attempt to make it better just resulted in a mess. Karrmann 23:55, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

RfA offer

Hello Phaedriel. Nice to meet you, this userspace is particularly beautiful. I had planned to make a run at the end of May, but I definitely won't be going "now" (at least in the next week) because I am worried that Anwar saadat will launch an attack, based on his comments at my editor review. This was due to a dispute at Talk:Ajith about his repeated use of the terms "mega-star", "mega-hit", "!" in a very hagiographic manner, in which he accused User:Zora, User:Ganeshk, User:David Crawshaw, myself of trolling and vandalising for trimming the article, and then started to behave in such a way as to irritate most of the Indian noticeboard at Misplaced Pages talk:Notice board for India-related topics, and raised eyebrows at Misplaced Pages:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Re:_User:_Anwar_saadat, and left rude comments to Indian bureaucrat Nichalp at User talk:Anwar Saadat/Archive 2. He also made his RfA debut at Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Srikeit to oppose on the grounds of not having featured material - I have never seen anybody oppose due to lack of featured content, which may have resulted from Srikeit asking him to keep cool on Talk:Ajith, which was their only interaction. If a lot of Indian editors kept a close watch on the RfA and defended me, (as Nichalp did when he tried to gatecrash the Aucaman arbitration and decided to try and get Zora banned), it would make it better, but I think Anwar might be able to sway people who are not particularly familiar with me, so I would prefer to wait at least two more weeks to see how this issue pans out.

Also, User:Srikeit, User:Snottygobble and User:I@n had started work via email on a joint nomination, as they had already individually expressed interest in nominating me.

Regards and thanks again, ßlηguγΣη | Have your say!!! - review me 01:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

I noted your concern on Sango123's page and followed the name, so I hope you don't mind me intruding on your user page. I just wanted to say that it's nice to see concern for another user, and in reading your page also very nice to see someone holding to their heritage in the way that you specifically state, with reference to your private name. Hi Phaedriel - I'm very sorry to have disappointed your expectation in me, but it had become impossible for me to compromise my principles. I don't covet adminship at all, so it wasn't a difficult decision - I simply cannot accept misrepresentation and nonsense. However, I cannot tell you how greatly joyous I feel at the enthusiastic, wonderful support you expressed for me. I don't know how hard it will be to understand that your supports means extremely a lot to me. I thank you from my heart, and please let me know if I can ever be assistance or help in anything. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rama's Arrow (talkcontribs) 17:00, May 14, 2006 (UTC)

Hey Phaedriel, I am wondering why you want to delete the article on Moderate Libertarianism. There seems to be some "policy" this article is violating? If it is outside the policies, I would like to work to fix this.

Hi Phaedriel, thanks for supporting my request for adminship! Unfortunately, it ended with a final tally of 45/15/2, no consensus. I may have another go in the near future, once the school year is over. Thanks again! -- getcrunkjuice 22:08, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi Phaedriel; thanks for the kind note! While I often go through bursts of activity on Misplaced Pages, I probably don't set aside enough time to get to know other users. You seem to be one of the nicest users around, so if you think that I'm nice, that's a high compliment! In any case, I have been considering another go at adminship, but I'm not sure yet. Good missionary work

Hey, just wanted to thank you personally for the kind and encouraging message you left on M1ss1ontomars2k4's talk page regarding his RfA. Thanks Phaedriel,

I am honored by your support in my recent successful request for adminship. As an administrator, I am your servant, ready to help however I can. My talk page is always open; should you need anything, or should you see me making a mistake -- probably a common occurrence -- please do let me know. I will depend on the good sense of the community to keep me from making a complete fool of myself! :) In gratitude, Xoloz 15:56, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

gross factual errors

I noticed that you have addressed Old Windy bear's lack of objectivity in his Frank Hamer article before, so I was hoping that you could assit me mith correcting the gross factual errors that he refuses to edit in the face of overwhelming evidence, particularly some of the very documents that he cites! I am including a post I made to Katefan ( a person he keeps asking to freeze me out) for you to review, but it will probaly behelpful to go to the article page and see all the discussion linking to various pages. I will check back her for your response.

Thank you

To User:Katefan0 Will you take a moment to look at Old Windy Bear's own citations that refute his own claims. The link he keeps providing shows that Hamer's last commission ended in January 1933, a year and a half before the Bonnie & Clyde job. This error of fact is particularly important because your writer goes on to make some far-out claims based on that factual error. And as for his criticims of the "I'm" Frank Hamer" book, he is so ignorant that he refers to it as an autobiography even though hamer died 15 years before it was written by John H. Jenkins & H. Gordon Frost, two highly esteemed Texas historians of their generation. You can verify their reputations with the UT-Austin History department if you like. And furthermore, his claims about the timing of the book are erroneous as well, as is his claim that the settlement the family received was insignificant. The terms of the settlement included a confidentiality clause, so make him provided documents to rpove that claim as well. I do know this, the first payment came at the signing around 1970, a suitcase full of wrapped stacks of $500.00 bills. Frank Jr still has the suitcase and wrappers if you would like to see them. And finally, your writer cites a self-described NOVEL, the one by shelton, as if it were a work of history. He might as well cite the warren beatty movie then! I have reviewed his discussion pages and see that he has been REGULARLY criticized for his factual errors and obvious bias when writing articles. Perhaps it is time that your company ban him altogether and remove any & all articles that he has posted in order to spare yourelves further embarrasment in the media?

Congratulations, you win

Good work, you just won. You hypocritically approached me with your kindness and your soft talk about Misplaced Pages rules, and then you threw your hound dogs at me so you could hide the atrocities made by your people in the past, and silence the truth behind my edits. This place sucks, and it's because of people like you. Maybe I should have uploaded a pretty picture of myself and made some friends around, and then I could have stood against your attempts of whitewashing criminal actions of your ancestors. But I'm not fond of losing time, so you win. Sooner or later, the truth always comes out. Goodbye. Atlantahawk 23:55, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
