Comedown Machine is the fifth studio album by American indie rock band The Strokes, scheduled to be released on March 26, 2013 in the U.S., and on March 25 in the UK. The album will be released almost exactly two years after their previous album Angles. On January 25, 2013, the band released the first song off the album entitled "One Way Trigger" on the official Strokes website with a free download link. The length of the album does not coincide with the length posted on the album artwork.

Recording

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Nikolai Fraiture explained that the album was "almost all done together at Electric Lady. All five of us, hashing out the record." When asked why Electric Lady Studios, Fraiture explained, "It's a legendary studio and it's not far for all of us, except for Nick who lives in LA."
