Lol thanks Crtew. I've been on wiki over a year, but then again I suppose I am still learning! Applesandapples (talk) 15:22, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
I'm on the WP Welcome Committee and I was appalled that nobody ever welcomed you. Better late than never! Crtew (talk) 17:47, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Arbitration Committee Notice

Dear Applesandapples, I wanted you to know that I also got a notice from User:Darkness Shines on my talk page that looks like yours (in history). You should know that DS placed that banner incorrectly and it makes him look like an administrator. He is not an administrator. Moreover, it looks as though he is from of Arbitration Committee. Again he is not nor has he ever been a member of Arbitration Committee. Like me, you may have been doing something innocent, but the banner states unfairly, "If you continue to misconduct yourself on pages relating to this topic." This is boilerplate language given to anyone who gets this template. It does not mean in any way that you did something wrong. Furthermore, although there is very little information about this banner, you may remove it from your page. Your name was also listed by DS on a noticeboard. In my case, I believe this is wrong because I'm not interested in editing in this area. You are not being investigated in any way. As a protest I have written a strikethrough mark through my name at the following location. If you are not happy about your treatment by DS or being listed on this noticeboard, then I would encourage you to do the same. I hope I have clarified your situation as I had to find out more about mine and wanted to share the results with you. I wish you good editing in Misplaced Pages, Crtew (talk) 09:52, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Several of us have removed ourselves from the list as DS undid my strikethrough. It is within your right to remove your name from that list. Crtew (talk) 13:36, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Those of us who challenged DS today and deleted our names were taken off the list this evening. Don't try to take your name off the list. If you want it removed, all you have to do is to request this from User:RegentsPark. Our names were taken off because DS did not use the template correctly and editors believed he was using it punitively against people to quash their edits. Crtew (talk) 23:05, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Crtew. I've taken your advice. I have known for a while that I wasn't the only victim, and I'm glad you are standing up against this kind of behaviour.Applesandapples (talk) 00:42, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
You can remove the name, unless of course you've done something really to give the impression that you've misconducted yourself. But technically DS should not be the one to add you to the list (he was not, and still isn't, an uninvolved administrator). Even more so if he was involved in an ongoing dispute with you while or soon before giving you the notice. See this. Mr T 08:31, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

International Crimes Tribunal (Bangladesh)

A large amount of info of the article International Crimes Tribunal (Bangladesh) is removed by you without any discussion in talk page. Undo them all and discuss on talk page. Otherwise I'll report you.--Freemesm (talk) 08:29, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Can you not threaten to report me over nothing? It's very immature. Applesandapples (talk) 01:14, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Did you not realise you hit 3RR on this article today? It is under a 1RR restriction. Please be more careful. Darkness Shines (talk) 23:50, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

As usual, I have no idea what you are talking about. I did some edits to an article. RR does not even vaguely come into the picture. It's also very obvious that you do not really think I hit 3RR either, because you have been trigger-happy enough in the past to report me over some very frivolous things, but haven't today. Applesandapples (talk) 01:14, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Read WP:3RR You removed content three times with another editor editing between those removals, those are counted as reverts. Darkness Shines (talk) 02:06, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Removing content is not the same thing as reverting an edit. The content I removed could have been put in by different users at different times, or all by the same user at the same time. Were the latter true, then you might have had a case. But it isn't, so you don't. Applesandapples (talk) 02:10, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Removing content is a revert, read 3RR "A "revert" means any edit (or administrative action) that reverses the actions of other editors, in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material. It can involve as little as one word." Now do you get it? Darkness Shines (talk) 02:15, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
I'd rather not get into a protracted argument with you. I've seen others do it, and it seems very tedious. Applesandapples (talk) 02:18, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Mr. Apple lover, you are acting immature. Biasing an article without any discussion and braking 3RR rule are not good idea. Don't use wikipedia as a medium of spreading your political ideology. You continuously vandalize Jamaat related articles by making them POV violated. Surely you will be reported if you continue it. You don't have any idea how much effort is given to this ICT article to make it balanced. You've remover Shahriar Kabir's statement from this article without any explanation. Why?--Freemesm (talk) 06:08, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
I did not do anything even remotely resembling 3RR, please don't be so ridiculous. As for content-related discussion, I'd be happier to discuss on the talk page rather than here. Applesandapples (talk) 08:11, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Read carefully the explanation of Revert from DS's reply.--Freemesm (talk) 10:42, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Please take a break from my talk page for a day or two. I don't see anything constructive as coming out of this. Applesandapples (talk) 10:51, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
It is better if you don't engage yourself in biasing article.--Freemesm (talk) 04:07, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

2013 Shahbag Protests

Thanks for your efforts and edits in 2013 Shahbag Protests. However, as you can see many editors are trying to edit the article and bring in the facts relevant to the article. So, before removing any lines and sources, please talk in the talk-page and raise valid points. Pratanu.roy (talk) 03:58, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the message. I understand the need to discuss edits on the talk page, and am in fact one of the more active users of the talk page. However, if you check my section on BLP, you will see that BLP is a rather different matter. "Contentious material about living persons (or recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced – whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable – should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion." There is a lot of such material, which does need to be removed. If you want to discuss specific edits, please use the talk page. Cheers. Applesandapples (talk) 04:04, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Whenever you are removing any lines, you are also removing important sources, that may be used later to support an argument or statement. I am requesting you again, please do not remove sources without discussing it in the talk page. Pratanu.roy (talk) 04:08, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Removing a line doesn not always mean removing sources. I'm not sure which sources you are talking about. But that sounds reasonable anyway - if I do remove sources in future, I will discuss it on the talk page. Applesandapples (talk) 04:14, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Take a look in the talk page of 2013 Shahbag Protests, and you will understand. I am warning you: if you do any further edits or reverts, I have to report your name to the wiki admin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pratanu.roy (talkcontribs) 04:36, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring. Thank you.. You have been reported for 3RR Violations and for deliberately vandalizing the article 2013 Shahbag Protests Pratanu.roy (talk) 05:58, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I have commented on your case above (I've been following your talk page since last week when we were on that list together). You need to be more careful. I see you're making good faith edits but the environment you're editing in is very contentious (as you know). Please be smart about your editing. If you want, we can have a discuss about how you can be more effective in this environment. I think the tactics being used against you are just disgraceful and an abuse of Misplaced Pages policcy. However, you shouldn't have reacted like you did. (This is just my opinion, and I mean to be constructive and helpful.) Best wishes, Crtew (talk) 13:38, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Crtew, I can see that you mean to be constructive. I will be more smart with my editing in future, but I certainly won't let those editors who are engineering POV articles get away with it. And I'm definitely open to more tips about negotiating this kind of terrain! Applesandapples (talk) 23:48, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Great!--Freemesm (talk) 17:24, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

February 2013

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at 2013 Shahbag protests. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
