Then she joined a children’s school and though she enjoyed it, could not continue her modeling. Dschoja's first film was “Bachelor”. After seven years in 2010 she worked on Nurul Alam Atik's debut film "Dubshatar" which was "In Too Deep" in English. She also acted on a movie named "Phire Esho Behula" at the same year. Though it was a big budget movie, it could not make to draw the attention. In 2011 she worked on the movie Guerrilla which is based on Nishiddho Loban by writer Syed Shamsul Haque. In the following year Joya worked on "Chorabali" which is an Action Bangladeshi film released on 2012. The film is written & directed by Bangladeshi television drama director Redoan Rony.
